Hi 886

I am sorry that you are still waiting. It must be very galling to see others on here getting COs while you are still waiting. I am 886FS too, my application lodged in December 09. I was also watching and becoming desperate as I saw others with lodgement dates after mine receiving a CO, but I finally got mine two weeks ago and my medical is booked for tomorrow. I'm also from England and a single applicant. I can't find any rhyme nor reason for the haphazard way they seem to be allocating COs. I wonder whether different occupations (or classes of occupation) are dealt with by different teams, and the teams are working at different speeds hence some are getting PR before others. I also wonder whether living in a rural area could be something to do with it - ie people outside a city might be seen as more desirable than those in a metro area. I am working through a migration agent and their email didn't mention which team is dealing with my application so I can't even open that up to suggestions. I do sympathise - it's soul destroying and I wish I could offer you the benefit of my experience - but I don't have anything worthwhile to impart other than sympathy.

My only personal suggestion would be that you might do your Australian police check, and maybe do what I should have done - go to my GP and get some health checks done so that if there is anything that needs attention, you have a chance to do it before the time comes. I had a health hiccup when they checked my blood pressure which turned out to be higher than the GP's nurse thought it should be. Fortunately my medical isn't until tomorrow, when they are going to take it again. It seems to have been some kind of a blip, as it's been done unofficially a dozen times since last week and it's been normal every time, though I've been doing everything possible to bring it down fast!! I'd have been in much more of a flap if I hadn't had that one week's leeway to sort it out. I hope you soon get a CO and wish you all the best!

Hi, congrats on the case officer allocation. My partner has already done all the police checks and medicals... but if he isn't allocated a CO by Christmas he will have to redo them....

We live in a regional area, and have done so for nearly three years now so that can't be the reason. Neither can be country of origin, or single/couple/children judging by what we've seen on this forum and others. I guess it might have something to do with occupation... or certain teams being quicker/slower than others, but then when my partner called he was told his application hadn't been allocated to a team yet...

My dear friends

if the case officer has asked u for pcc in india please go to the passport seva kendra and apply they will charge u 500 rupees and will give u in 2 hours same day and please note that u don't need to take appointment u can go directly from 9.30am to 11.30am provided u have created ur application online and uploaded all supporting documents and printed the application receipt.

Please don't apply in police commissioners office this will at least take 15 to 20 days.

If ur online application shows that application being processed further please fill up form 80 , finished with medicals and complete the pcc this is speed up the process in gettting ur visa. Ur medicals and pcc are valid for 1year so no need to worry.

Hope this information is useful to guys.

Thankyou regards

Guest GeorgeD

Folks,

Just a little reminder not to post any CO's names or contact details. Any such info will be deleted and repeat offenders will be warned and then given infractions.

CO Initials are acceptable. Full names are not.

Hi Marinab

Yes All was good. As I never have complain regarding breathing as my nature of work (from the beginning) is hard yakka and also play sports on weekend.According to Specialist I could be exposed to chest infection in past...but nothing to worry. From CT scan.....He said not any active disease in lung and not found any single symptoms..... so All he can say.....don't need to go for further testing and any assessment. He will send report to Medibank by this after noon.... so waiting game begin again. Hoping grant before financial year end.
