Got any ideas, help?!!! Hi there, I also had to take my IELTS twice. Initially I had applied for Canberra but they only sponsor 5 pts when I needed 10. So I went with WA as they sponsor 10 pts. Once a CO is assigned, he will email you prompting you to go for medical, police check...etc. Medical includes a blood and urine test and the doctor will send the results to DIAC directly. nicjam51
Thanks for info. When do you go and where are you hoping to stay? I feel were are still a long way off, upto now its took about 11 months and ive been held up with the IELTS exams, which because of my age have decided to go down a different route and go for employment sponsored visa which you dont need points for so my agent says. Feels like i'm not much further forward.

phearn007
I lodged my 175 visa in April 2009 and still nothing! I am seeing a lot of people from after this date starting to be processed - all seems totally random - any idea what the hell is going on? We are seriously considering packing up (currently on 457 visa but facing redundancy) and going back to UK!
Mel2013
Hi Dushanthan, I have also received an invitiation to apply for the 189 visa on 7 Jan 2013 and have till 8 March to make an application. I wanted to ask you to help me with some info. I have received an invitation to apply for the 189 visa and have until 8 March to do so. I haven't press the 'apply button' as yet. I wanted to know that if i press that button do i need to complete the entire application process in one go? Is there any sort of SAVE button during the application where I can revisit waht I have written and edit as I go along? Also, do I need to complete the medical examination as yet? And if I have to do the examination before I submit my application do you know how much it might cost and what types of examination will they conduct? Your help will be much appreciate. Thanks in advance. Mel

Thanks in advance. Mel Hi Mel, You can save your application, you don't have to fill it in one go. It is same as EOI. Regarding meds, you have to do it after you submit your application. After you submit your application, there will be a link in document attache section for referral letter for your meds. Then only you can for meds. I am not sure about the cost as it varies with country. Medical check consists Chest Xray, Urine Test, HIV Test, Things like that. If you go through manual medical examination form, you can have some idea about what they test about. Good luck with your application. Ishaan
Granted today. Congratulations !! 2 Refusals !! Still lost no hopes ! I'm in similar situation, refused Vic SS.. The reason that they gave is that they have heaps of applications with much high caliber, whereas i'm just meeting their minimum eligibility !!! Well, i dont find it a valid reason... They havn't specified anything else.. Even it's minimum requirement that im meeting, but atleast im fulfilling them all.. Moreover my occupation is still OPEN .. I've file for 190 in software tester category !! I'm now looking forward to file for ACT sponsorship , as that's the only state left where my occupation is listed .. But, its in LIMITED availability !! Plsss guide me what should i do ?? I'll be humbled ! Have a work ex of 3 yrs and 4 months now .. Pls see my signature for my timeline !! Cheers
rasserie
exactly the same reason given to me from Vic. also i had tried NT SS but the 8 month wait proved taxing so i withdrew after 3 months waiting. i did engage an agent to help me through the process so that helped me a lot. if u have an agent, i'd suggest seeking for advice. if u are doing it alone, perhaps you might wanna try the 189 route? I dont fit in the 189 category .. Profession aint there ! So 190 with ACT is the only option left ! That too with LIMITED availability ! .. ACT has its own way of providing sponsorship, we need to submit some market research on our profession before we submit our application.. And yes, i do have an agent ! Lets see how it goes, probably if we get a response from ACT, we'll file next week ! (You need to email and ask them if u can file ur state sponsorship, if they allow you, only then you are supposed to file it)
