  1. Hi ya we have just been through exactly the same thing I am an Aussie resident and I came to Oz in Nov 6 months pregnant, my fiancé is British and has a criminal record he applied for a tourist visa so he could be here for the birth we applied for his residency in November and as it was going to take 9 months he had to apply for tv in the mean time. It was taking so long for the tv and getting near my due date I got the hospital to write a visa letter to say I needed him here for support as soon as they received the letter they granted him the tv and then whilst on a trip back to the uk as his 3 months were up we had an email from our agent to say his 300 was going to be granted on the 7 month mark,I was so worried because of his record but its all turned out lovely and we are very happy in Melbourne with our beautiful baby girl. All the best and for the birth I'm sure it will be fine
  2. Weve got it, my fiance got his PMV visa granted on Thursday, he has been here on a TV for three months and was due to leave on the 6th May, i wrote to our CO to ask if she could tell us if his visa would be granted around the time of his trip back to the UK as it was around the 8 month mark so we knew weather to book a return flight or weather he could have a one way back to Oz we received a paste and copy email from CO from the immigration website saying about processing times. i had mentioned that we had had a baby and my fiance didnt want to leave us for long but also was copy and paste about compassionate circumstances, having a baby not being one of them. So disheartened we accepted he would return on another TV and booked a return flight to the UK for Aug, he flew out and a day later we received an email form our agent from the CO saying his visa could be granted in the next few days on his trip back. He arrived yesterday on his PMV and were over the moon, what a relief, wedding booked for Jan, yay and now to get a job. We applied 9/10/12 CO 15/10/12 medicals 5/11/13 visa granted 16/05/13
  3. Hi everyone, has anybody come to australia on a tourist visa flown out and then flown back in a week later on one way ticket, my fiancé is here at the moment waiting for his PMV, his 676 3 month stay is over soon so wanted to go back to uk for a week then come back. We applied for PMV on 9/10/12 have emailed CO for estimated grant date but just got an automated reply about cases being processed in order. We have a month old bubba and I need the help and an going back to work next month so fiancé is gonna look after bubba till his visa is granted, he has a letter from TV CO saying they have no consideration not to grant PMV but we still have to wait in line, any advice would be brilliant, thinking maybe just best to by return ticket and cut our loses and then fiancé can go to NZ to be off shore for visa grant
  4. hi there i too have a 5 yr visa, its not a bad mark if you leave oz, you have to had lived in oz for two years out of the last five to get an rrv if you are still in the uk when our visa expires in 2015 you wont be allowed back into oz, thats how my visa works anyway .hope that helps but dont take my word for it every visa if different
  5. when I had my medical we had lots to choose from but Australia have cut back in who they allow to do the medical so it will a case of using who is close and a panel doctor I think they all charge about the same
  6. Hi had the same problem when applying, i tracked down my elderly bosses from where i served my apprenticeship, they agreed to sign a statement saying i did my apprenticeship but i had to prove the business existed too but as it was 20 yrs ago they had burnt all records, so had had to get them to sign a letter to give the local council permission to give me evidence of rates paid(council tax didnt exist) by the business. I also found an ex employee who still had a contract from her employment with then she also wrote a statement. it was a nightmare i am a hairdesser and you never tend to leave a salon on the best of terms i had to go to 5 previous employers and do the same 2 had ceased trading but its all worth it,' i know live Melbourne , dont give up
  7. We have applied for the PMV and it took around ten days to get confirmation of receiving application. good luck
