  1. Hi weve been 3 times now and every time we love going back to Caversham wildlife park. My two children are age 11 yrs and 7rs and just love interacting with the kangaroos and stroking the koalas. Great for all ages
  2. Sorry Rupert was it that garbled? Lol i started a job in march last year that's on the CSOL list but because I was made redundant the last time I worked in the real estate business in 2008 I'm having to work another 12 months before trying for a visa. So so looking to go as a real estate sales person. Or still in the meantime look for my husband for sponsorship but very unlikely.
  3. Hi All not been on here for a while, we tried last year with my hubbies skills but stopped as he has nothing down on paper and has been self taut since school. (Builder/double glazing) This time it will be me hopefully to try and get my family out to Oz but having to wait for 12 months in my current job as they require 2 years on the job in the past 5 years. Unfortunately the job that's on the CSOL list I was made redundant in 2008 and started in the same industry again last march. I missed out by a whisker!! Now I've got that impatient wait for 12 months and in the meantime hoping and praying they don't wipe off the list totally. anybody else in this situation ?? Jo
  4. Hi lebourvellec, what I mean is he can't prove his informal apprenticeships with these two companies. He has years of experience plus running his own business so the guy we are dealing with on the assessment part seems to think we won't get the 15 points only 10. His age is against him as he has just turned 42. In order to apply for visa we need 50 and we have 45 ( need to to IELTS again) . The 10 points adding it to 60 will be no prob as my mum is an Australian resident.
  5. Sorry for the delay everyone just wanted a few days off and not to think about 'it'. We are awaiting now from our migration company to come back to us to see if there are any other options open to us, but apparently they are too busy at moment so we've been put on the back burner. I'm not living in hope though. might have to look down the route of sponsorship but which company in Perth is going to do this? .... It's not easy for builders/carpenters and UPVC window fitters to go down this route cant take any more stress  thanks though everyone for your kind replies x
  6. Thanks for that floor man I've just found the company on companies house.... The number and name what do we do now call the number highlighted? Might be an option then
  7. It was due to the fact my husband couldn't provide references from past employers from way way back as they are no longer existing!! We were only short of 5 points which makes it even worse. not sure what to do now!
  8. Our dream as a family and to be nearer my mum is well and truly over. The door has been slammed in our faces and can't go. GUTTED
  9. Hi floor man, poor hubby was very stressed Saturday bless him... It's not easy is it!! Good luck with your 3rd attempt. Well done for carrying on though! We also hired a private tutor (last minute though) she was excellent. If we don't pass this time we will be in touch with her again.
  10. Good luck bigangel we are just waiting for my husbands results now, he took his test Saturday.
  11. Its all experience since left school and has ran his own business for 10 years. He will have to take skills assessment in London to get a recognised Australian qualification we have been told.
  12. LOL thanks Ali ill give them ago
  13. My husband is in the building industry, going on carpentry so yes there's lots of paperwork and the physical assessment as has no qualifications on paper.
  14. I'm feeling nervous about the next hurdle!! .... Just emailed paperwork for the go ahead to start the visa process to a certain migration agency so she gets it first thing in morning! .....now for the 2nd hurdle ...... Skilled assessment for hubby!! Ive heard there's tonnes of paperwork involved if your self employed  I'm sure she will give us the best advice as possible and help us through it. I am constantly thinking about Australia...think it's taking over my life already. I just want to a better life for my kids & mostly to be closer to my mum who moved out to Perth over 3 years ago. we went out in October for 3 weeks and just dream of going back but on a one way ticket. i know it's not going to be an easy ride but I'm a very impatient person. arrgghhhh :arghh:
  15. Omg it's a mind field! My husband isn't vat registered hope that's not a problem. He has an accountant and hopefully has all his books going back to 2004, previous to that he worked for a company but unfortunately folded. i know it's going to be a long and bumpy ride but its still worrying when you want it so much. thanks candy girl I'm sure we will ask you for more help along te way. jo
