happy days! good luck with that! my partners visa expires at the beginning of October this year and we would like to travel back to OZ together. Should I ask them outright like your partner did in a few months time will it be granted?? I applied at the end of January, 9 months later will be end of October. Hopefully they could move it on a couple of weeks quicker lol!

ah ok, but does your case officer ever contact you again? Even to let you know that you are just in the "queue"? lol

When I received my initial letter from my case officer it did not mention to go for my medical after a certain date, although she did ask me for more evidence from Jan 2010 to jan 2011. I think this may be so that I could be eligable for a permanent visa straight away......fingers crossed. My partner has been living with me in Belfast since October 2009. This may have something to do with her not mentioning to go for my medical after May. I did my meds two weeks ago at the Mater in Dublin. I have emailed my CO to ask what the next stage is but have not had any reply from her, I think its just a waiting game now?? Have you used a migration agent?

Hi Guys, I completed my medical examinations in Dublin 2 weeks ago but havent heard anything back from the hospital or my case officer. When I completed the medical checks in Dublin the nurse said that I would receive my results within a week, bit I still havent had any contact whatsoever. Is this normal practice? Or do they take a little bit of time to get back to you? I think that paying them a substantial amount of money so far the least they could do was reply to an email lol! :biglaugh: Partner temporary visa Subclass 309 – Permanent visa subclass 100 submitted by post in London 29/01/2013, CO assigned 05/02/2013, medical tests taken 12/02/2013.

I have just recently applied for the same visa. We included: - Two years worth of payslips for me and my sponsor (Australian citizen) Two rental agreements Two years worth of joint car insurance docs 40sp form 47sp form Some pictures with friends both in the UK and Australia Two 888 forms from Australian citizens Witness statement from both sets of parents Witness statement from my sponsor and I Three years worth of joint bank statements Gas bills Photo pages of both passports Sponsors Australian citizen certificate (lived there since she was 4) My birth certificate My police check (I did this before submitting the application) I have just recently completed my medical. For some reason they didn’t advise me to get it done after a certain date. I got my CO assigned a week after submitting my application to London. Hope this helps.

Great, thanks for the info. Is it mostly software jobs? Or is there a lot of infrastructure/support jobs too? Thats what I specialise in.

I completed my meds last Tuesday, the 12th in Dublin but still have not had any contact from my CO or the medical centre. Is this normal practice or could my meds have been referred? B

thanks for that info. I've had a look on seek and there seems to be more IT work in Perth.............could be persuaded to go there for the heat lol!

I mainly do IT support 2/3rd line work, IT infrastructure analysis.

Hi, Hopefully if my visa is successfull I will be arriving in Adelaide mid october of this year. My partner is Australian and has been living with me in the UK for over three years. Her Uk visa expires in October which is why we have decided to go back to Australia. We have applied for a de-facto visa by post in London. My background is in IT but would be willing to do any work to get myself sorted with a job. Does anyone know if there is much IT work in Adelaide? Or know of any other jobs I could do until I get on my feet? Thanks. B

Hi, I have been living with my Aus partner in the UK for over three years now, her visa expires in October this year. We met in OZ in 2009 and have been living together since October 2009 in the UK. I applied for my de –facto partner visa on 29th January, got a letter back a week later with further information that they required and also that I have to go for my meds. I sent the further information that they required but there was no date on the letter to say “go for your medical after this date xx/xx/xx” etc. I completed my meds last week on Tuesday 12th February but should they have told me not to go until a certain date?? Im slightly confused and my CO has not replied to my email. Thanks. B :arghh:

Yeh I have already submitted my police certificate. I received a pdf document with my HAP number and it said to undertake my medical at one of their designated locations, it didnt mention a time frame or anything so I thought it was best to get it done as soon as possible to speed the whole process up. Looks like its just a waiting game then...

Hi, I have applied for the partner visa: -Partner Temporary Visa (Subclass 309) and Permanent Visa (Subclass 100) I have sent all of my evidence and forms to the embassy in London, also the further evidence that they have asked for, taken my medical in Dublin.........so was just wondering what is the next step in the process? I submitted my application by post on the 29th January and have completed everything they have asked of me so far. They wanted further evidence to show that I was in a relationship with my de-facto partner for three years which I have supplied. Is it now just a waiting game? Thanks. B
