  1. Thanks for all your replies, some bubble bursting going on, but i know your only trying to help, i already know how extreamly hard finding sponsorship is as i'm busy trying, i know the mines are extreamly hard to get into, and we know someone who works at one of the mines and he is guiding us with that. I am just trying to get a feel for areas with peoples input, which has been great, i Know we may not get where we would like to live because of jobs. I know it's not ideal for my husband to work away but he doesn't have a trade and it's a sacrifice we would make for a while. I feel we can make this work, why should'nt it work. If you put 100% into it and keep trying. You have to be positive not negative and thanks for your input dustyroad, gudonya.
  2. Hi no he has no mining skills but we've been told he'll need to do some courses to get tickets/ certificates when we get to Australia. So that they will be Australian approved. He's a hard worker and he'll do what he can to get in.
  3. That sound great, how far are you from a beach and what is the area you live in? We are after somewhere for all the family, we have 2 kids 5 and 10 so needing schools close by too! Thanks
  4. Thanks everyone for those great replies, it has give me a little more insite to different places. I am a hairdresser but needing employment sponsorship so i will more likely have to go where someone will sponsore me and give me a job, but at the same breath we don't want to live just anywhere. I like the look of Margeret river but i also like the look of some other areas outside Perth city. The problem is we really would love to live near a beach sort of around/ upto 30 mins drive but also want plenty amenities. My husband is planning to work in a mine in Perth so we also have to take that into concideration! We think the closer to Perth city area would be better for him to fly in and out, i just find the whole thing quite hard. At present we live in a village but is also only 15 minutes drive into a town and has an abundance of shops within a 5 minute drive. I suppose i'm looking for something similar to what we have already but WARMER! Would love more input on this ! Thanks guys
  5. Yeh i know, why would anyone sponsor someone they have never met. But it must happen, other people do it, and i am determined! I am makeing it a mission:biggrin:
  6. Hi Tickled Pink I can't do the 457 visa cause the government have got rid of it. Looked at other avenues and this the 186 is my only chance! Do you think it's going to be extreamly hard? Thanks Gillian
  7. Hi Rupert no i don't live in Australia. I need to find sponsorship because i am the one with the trade not my hubby. I have tried skills select but hav'nt scored enough points on the IELTS exam and i'm soon to be 45 and thought time was running out to keep doing it that way, where i have more time on the sponsored visa but obviously it is much harder to get a sponsorship. I feel it's going to take forever!!!! Gillian
  8. Hi ali yes its hard looking at different areas, not so sure about living in a city, out of the city would be good. How far out of the city are you? Thanks
  9. Hi verystormy I am a hairdresser, not the best job to get a sponsorship! ANY ADVIVCE WOULD BE GREAT Thanks Gillian
  10. Hi guys Anyone gone through the employment nomination scheme subclass 186. Would love any input on this subject. I am currently trying to go down this route and looking for an employer to sponsor me! It's really hard, anyone got any thoughts or ideas on best way to geyt sponsorship. I'm looking at lots of different ares of Perth. Anyone got ideas of best areas in Perth! Thanks guys Gillian

    Ielts .... ??

Your right there, it is just a money spinner and our money at that. I have desided to go for a employment sponsored visa, given i'm nearly at the age of loosing points that i have for my age at the moment. i can't carry on doing the IELTS and wasting time on it. I feel they do set it high for people to have to go back again and again, why wouldn't thery they are making a fortune out of it. I think it's completely wrong for English people to take ann English Exam, What's it all about!!!! Theres no need we are very good at English, been born here and have always lived here. I could rant on forever abouy this but it wont make any difference to anyone having to do it.:realmad:
  13. Thanks for the advice really appreciated.

    Ielts .... ??

Hi i did the IELTS general test twice and still hav'nt got all 7s . Spoke to people there who were resitting it for a 5th time which gave me no confidence at all. And that was just the general. It is alot harder than you would think, they set it high to catch you out. The worst one for me is the listening one as you have to listen and read and write your answers all at the same time. I did well with the others but only scored a 6 on the listening one both times. You really need to concetrate on that one and mabe try practice as much as possible. Good luck
  15. Hi yes you have to score the same ( 4.5) in your case, in each component of the IELTS exam. I had to score a 7 or heigher in all components. Not sure why she's having to score a lower point. Make sure you know exactly what points you need to achieve and then if it is a 4.5 she will need to score that or heigher in each component. The overall score does'nt count. Hope i've helped:biggrin:
  16. Hi what area do you live in and what is it like, for schools and work. Trying to get to perth but need a employment sponsoship visa, finding it very hard. Starting to look at areas in Perth but it's so vast, would like to live in a good area but not in the city and not too far from the beach. So hard isn't it.
