as far as i know for the purposes of State Sponsorship the occupational ceiling for Software Engineer for SA has been reached. i am not sure if that is any indication of EOI / SS chances overall or State level. it would be good if you could consult a RMA. best wishes.

Just an update I have withdrawn from NT and submitted my EOI. Also have applied SS from SA. Waiting patiently.

there are 8 states to look out for when applying for state sponsor. act nsw qld wa sa vic NT Tas first things first is to look thru their websites and look at their demand list although some of the states' lists are not updated yet. it will give you a clear indication. have to warn you that no forum advice can replace the expertise of a registered migration agent.

i would think that since you have to do IELTS anyway, might as well do it first.

hmm. you made me think twice. im thinking of this scenario. proceed with NT and when Skill Select opens, lodge an EOI. im not sure if that would work.

anyone here with just a diploma got SS from WA?

im just guessing but it could probably due to my qualification level. i only have an equivalent Australian diploma certificate. my top choice now would be WA followed by SA, NSW and subsequently ACT. i am waiting for 1st July when all the states will reopen their quota and hopefully be nominated which would result in an auto invitation. waiting patiently. just about 2 months before the changes. excited.

i have tried for Vic SS - failed. Was contemplating for NT but backed off after some consideration. now i am waiting for skill select and the states to reassess their skills on demand list. i am actually hoping for NSW, SA, WA and ACT nomination. have since surrendered and just go with the flow...

Now that vic has rejected my application, the only option now is to apply to NT. I have a few queries. Is there any fees for applying to NT? Is it true that the process takes 30 weeks?

need some advice.263111 is currently not on WA SOL.i am trying to see if its possible to apply to WA off list.however, the online application website states that 263111 quota has been filled and there is no way to apply an off list SS application.is there a paper application somewhere?

there are better suited candidates. only northern territory has my code. before i proceed, i am going to discuss further with my agent tomorrow.
