1. Hi Yash CA Articleship will definitely not be considered as valid work experience both the DIAC and the assessment authority (CPA/ICAA). If you include your articleship in your EOI and if points is awarded for the same, your application for visa will be rejected due to wrong details. You should look at changing your agent if he has advised you that CA Articleship will be counted as valid work experience.

Hi Walkwater,

By way of introduction, I am a CA in India working with a Big4 and have applied for assessment with CPA Australia under General Accountant. Further, CPA Australia has asked me to complete the theory exam. I read a similar post in one of your conversation and I am afraid that they will not consider my work experience prior to the examination. I understand that you have also been part of a similar problem, can you please suggest the way forward. Please note that my work experience will not match the External Auditor nomination and I currently have 55 points.

Many thanks in advance for your kind co-operation. You can please mail me at sahil_26sep@yahoo.com.I will really appreciate your help.

 3. I received an email from WA the same day of this message. Don't know if they are taking more time now.
 4. Hi Lx, I am also moving to Perth in the first week of January and accomodation and job hunt are on top of my mind. Let us know how it goes for you. All the best. Regards, Rohit
 5. Congrats uma, nataraj and nomads!!! Fingers crossed for fowlerfamily and pswebb..
 6. Its strange that you have not been requested for PCC, it's a mandatory document for the visa grant. Nonetheless you can apply for PCC as it might take some time to obtain PCC.
 7. Nope, they should be fine. My reference letter from ex-employer was more than a year old.
 8. 75 points - Didn't you think about 189? You would have got an invite in the next round, though the processing would have taken little longer. Anyways all the best with your SS application.
 9. Reply which I received from the recruitment company: "Thank you for your interest in the A107261777 position we recently advertised and for your application. Unfortunately this position is open only to those applicants who are presently residing in this country, so we are unable to proceed further with your application at this stage. If your residential circumstances change, please do not hesitate to contact us when you arrive here in Australia as we often recruit for other similar roles. Alternatively, if you already have relocation plans in place, please email me or re-apply detailing your situation (arrival, residential location etc). Once again many thanks for your interest, we do realise that it would be ideal to find a position prior to your arrival, however, it is often difficult to do so. We look forward to hearing from you."
