Welll as stated I have booked my flights back to Mother Glasgow.

My house build hasn;t finished... most of my money is tied up till house is sold....Hubby hasn't scecured a job (Yet)....and I will be living with my In laws for months....BUT I AM SO EXCITED !!!!! :spinny:

We have decided that life is way to short to be misreable and im sure all the house stuff will take care of itself. Flying on 9th Oct ..two years to the day we came over ...and the day we can apply for citizenship .... but we have decided not to as I cant really see me ever moving back here ( although never say never...but I wont)

So shippers to organise, car to selll, some furniture to get rid of and a few pounds to lose because of all the XXXX gold.

I will let people moving back know our shipping quotes etc

Feels like christmas :spinny:

Lol ... I can imagine that's how it feels. You are so right that life is too short to be miserable, you're not going to be filled with what ifs .... you've lived in another country and have had an adventure

Guest The Stobbarts down under

Wow sounds like us 18months ago, we moved out to Oz and stayed for a year didn't like it didn't make any friends and were really miserable so decided to move back. 2 months after returning back to the Uk thought **** what had we done and realised just how good our life was out there, did a lot of soul searching and planning and decided you only live once so back to Oz we flew and got here april and can honestly say haven't looked back since. Kids are really settled the few friends we did make are still really good friends and in fact we actually had made more than we thought. So really all i'm trying to say is remember the reasons you originally came out here and why you wanted to leave the UK cause they haven't changed. If your visa is going to expire after you leave it may be worth getting citizenship at least that way if you do decide to come back even after a few years you don't have to go thru all that visa application again. Good luck with the move and really hope all works out well for you

Kelli I know what your saying about Ping Ponging but we didnt leave the Uk for any other reason than we could...Our sponsership fell on our lap so we tried it out...its not worked so we are moving back...I loved my life in Scotland so Its easy for me to move back.

I have been lucky to meet alot of friends since I have been here so I can always come back when I need a Holiday!!

Wow, you lucky things!!!

Have been home 3 weeks now on holiday and it is blissful! So much variety, people talking to you and having a laugh, the green green grass that gives under your feet, it's absolutely brilliant! (You will all hear the screaming as they drag me on the plane back to the gulag!)

I hope your move home goes well and you will be gearing up for a proper Christmas in no time at all!

That's so funny! At least you know that after no time at all she'll be loving it, all the attention from her grandparents and family. Will she be starting nursery this year? That will help her settle back too, making loads of new friends. All the best,

Thanks Jo.Yes my Daughter will be at Nursery when we return. 15 Hrs free child care cant be too bad. She goes 1 day per week here to give her a chance to meet some friends and it costs me $160 per month.

I cant wait to have some baby sitters so me and hubby can have some me time again. This was something we never really though about when we came over.

I really hate not having my parents to babysit:arghh:. If I went back, that would be a factor, just having time to ourselves.

My daughter would be starting nursery in september too, and my (just turned) 5 year old doesn't start prep here until January, so they're at kindy too just to socialise, whilst I'm sat at home cos I can't find a job!

Sorry, whinge over!

Hang In there Jo I know what its like...you cant wait for some time on your own...then when your kids are at Kindy you feel lost without them :spinny:

I must admit I have missed having the grandparents wisdom and I only have 1 ...cant imagine how hard it must be with 3.

Good luck with the job hunting.
