1. Thanks Pablo, might have to go down a similar route ourselves.
2. Did you just give details of job offer, nothing else, take it you need to be there with in the year then, have you got a date for starting new job. Good luck with everything. Debbie
3. Thank you, I'm curios as our visa runs out this September and with my three 18 yrs olds not wanting to go and starting uni this year, if we could get an extra year then me and hubby could get the kids settled in uni and think of going over next year. My hubby has three cousins who have lived and worked in oz for a number of years now, this would be our only way of an extension if that would be possible. Debbie
4. What would be counted as showing close ties, if you don't mind me asking. Debbie

Hi Pablo, do you mind me asking how you got a one year extension/RRV, our visa up next year but with personal things going on, not been able to make the move, would love to try get an extra year if we could.
7. Me and hubby heading out to Oz again in August for another holiday but seeing as though we won't have the kids this time thought we would stay over a couple of nights in Singapore. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel which won't break the bank, lol. Debbie
8. Glad to see things are heading in the right direction for you Tasha. When do you think you will be heading over to oz and is your eldest going to be joining you. Debbie
9. Thanks for that, I was aware they couldn't get a loan, not too worried about that, it's the fees that worry me as international fees are extortionate. So I'll be ok to enter 6 months before they start university?
10. We have our PR visa and have done for 3.5 years but due to personal circumstances have not been able to make the move earlier, my dilemma now is that my children are nearly 6 months into their A levels and I want them to finish them here in the UK as I know at the age of 17 they are too old to go into yr 11/12 in Oz. My question is as we will hopefully be arriving in Oz a few months before our 5 year PR is up, will university fees be classed as domestic or international, not sure if there is some kind of rule about being in the country a couple of years before starting uni to qualify for domestic fees. Depending on the answer could very well determine if we are to come over at all. Hope someone can help? Debbie
11. My heart goes out to you and your family, such a tragic loss, safe flight back to UK and thinking of you all xxx
12. All 5 of you have to enter Australia to validate your visas. Debbie
13. I know you've been inundated, but could you pm me too. Thans. Debbie
14. Sorry for the late reply Davo1, our producers were fantastic but really hard work, didnt give in and kept pushing us until we said what they wanted to hear (for good tv viewing I suppose). I wouldnt have given up the opportunity for anything but then saying that I wouldnt do it again, didnt realise how hard and tiring it was going to be. Well too late now, we will have to see how they make us all look, good I hope, but hey ho, cant change it now, it all over and done with. Debbie xx
15. Well we would like to go this year if I can persuade the two girls to come, being 16 you know what they are like and I couldn't leave them here, even though I'm leaving my 25 yr old daughter and 22 mth old granddaughter. Really need to go before they start their A levels, hubby is starting to look for work and maybe if he finds something we will give them the option to come for two years and if they dont like it they can come back. Just wish we had made the decision to move years ago when the children were young and we wouldn't be facing these problems.
16. So where you heading back to in Oz, we are on the show next Jan and Nicky Chapman is coming to our house in ten days for a follow up, dreading how they will edit the show though.
17. I know what you mean about watching tv in a different light, that is so true, im the same. Also dreading the editing, I found it really hard as I will be leaving my eldest daughter and 2 yr old granddaughter and they homed in on that so much and I got upset quite easily during the filming. We have our 175 visa, took us 6 mths to get but that was 2.5 yrs ago and things have changed a lot since then. We are hoping to go later this year as long a I can persuade my other 3 children to come, it's so hard as they are now sixteen. We absolutely loved Melbourne, we validated our visas 2 yrs ago and went to Sydney but feel we could have a better lifestyle in Melbourne. Will add you as a friend and if there is anything I can help you with, just ask. Dbbie Xx
18. Hi just wanted to say Hi and welcome you to PIO, there are so many people on here who will offer so much advice and most of its good advice too. We too have recently returned from Melbourne filming for WDU, it was very stressful and really hard work but worth it, I'm dreading the show though cos of how others will perceive you, but was a worthwhile experience. Whereabouts are you here in the UK and are you looking to move to Brisbane. Debbie Xxx
19. Just after peoples views on the above places to live. Recently visited Melbourne and fell in love with Sanctuary Lakes area and also visited Berwick and got a lovely feeling from there too. Never had enough time to go to Eltham but read so many good points on here. Dont mind negative points, feel free to say anything. Thanks. Debbie
20.

Sorry sent o you in error WA meant for the hoes

21.

Hi, we've not long returned fom our WDU trip, absolutely loved it but dread what the show I'll be like. Just noticed you are off to WA, didn't you go to Brissy for your show x

22.

Hi guys, I remember seeing a thread of yours a couple of months back to say you were relocating to Point Cook area with your four children. I too have 16 yr old triplets. We have just returned from a two week holiday to Melbourne and was really impressed with the Point Cook area. I have since returned and looked you up to see how you are setling and was going to ask about your two eldest and how they have settled, only to find that you are returning to UK. Thats a shame, do you mind me asking the reasons, I understand if you do not wish to say. Its so hard and such a big move, im scared that my three wont settle, due to their age. Hope all goes well for your return x

23. That would be nice, will keep in touch over next week and then we can arrange something, I'm not familiar with Heathrow as we always fly from Manchester normally.
