Hi, Just wanted to share my 186 time line.

Had medicals, UK & AFP police certificates ready pre application.

Nomination submitted 30th Jan 2013

Visa applied for 6th Feb 2013

ACK, Bridging Visa Issued etc 6th Feb 2013

Nomination Approved 2nd May 2013

Request for Form 80 6th May 2013 - Form completed and scanned same day

PR Visa Granted on the 7th May 2013

I did all the work myself, did not use a migration agent or do the decision ready check. I applied under the agreement stream, had been here for 18 months on 457. Was really happy to be approved in three months ! It really helped to see everyones timelines on here, so thought i would share mine !

Anybody applied this visa as direct entry while applying from overseas?

Wow! Congrats!!

My nomination has been in since March with no news yet.

Putting my half of the application in as soon as I get my UK Police Check back...

This post just made me very happy! Nice to see some good news regarding timeframes!

How long did people wait to get their UK police check back? (if you had to get one of course!)

The MA I'm using won't start working on my application until I have it.

Also, with the medical, will a receipt for the appointment work to show proof that it's booked?? Not sure what is expected to be added to the online application and the MA isn't doing anything until I have ALL of my forms apparently....

Thanks!

Our police checks took three weeks to come back to us. We uploaded the meds receipt and that worked for us, no further info was needed.

If your agent is preparing a decision ready application (which sounds like it) then yes, they are right to ask for all docs before submitting anything for you. A DR application requires everything to be submitted at once.

Hi,

Im new to this thread we have our 186 application submitted, we have a case officer who has requested medicals, police checks, form 80 and a couple of work related documents.

We have had our medicals but just waiting on the kids passports to come back before they can have their medicals, UK police checks should be back soon, I have my Oz police checks but it says they need the original certificate? where do i send it or can i scan a certified copy? and we are finished the form 80s tonight and submitting them!

Its great to hear some people are getting their visa quickly! :) we have been here over 5 years on temp visas, to think we could have pr soon in amazing! :)

Thanks Tickled Pink. Did you get all of your copies signed by someone too?

I have all my copies scanned as coloured documents but not signed. Did you do this?

Its been 4 weeks now since we had a CO assigned. She asked for an extra document that we had to send for - got it to her within 5 days. Since then we've heard nothing, MA is saying nothing either. Does this seem odd? Should I be worried?

My visa has just come through!!!

Applied through RMA so it was decision ready on 21st December and heard nothing back until today (5 months 1 week).

I rang DIAC to check at the 5 month mark, they didn't tell me anything aside from 'processing' and I'm not sure if it made a difference.

Good luck to everyone else.

Can amyone help me with my form 80?

I have filled it all in on the computer and I printed the signature page and scanned it back to the computer but how do I replace the signature page on form 80 with the scanned and signed signature page? I hope this makes sense

Or could I just emailed the form 80 and a seperate document of my signature page?

thanks
