Guest Aloochi
Hi Sully, I understand you applied for a 'limited' skill. Could you please tell me what it was and how many job openings you attached with it? I'm hoping to apply as an advertising specialist, and there are not many vacancies advertised online. Thanks a bunch A

Thanks a bunch A Hi Aloochi, my wife is an Insurance Broker and we supplied 6 job openings, we did struggle to find them all on seek but I found some after going onto other companies websites and finding vacancies. I am a Print Finisher by trade and this is also on the ACT skills list so this was a good argument for giving the sponsorship.

AnnetteV
Hi guys, That is great news, congrats!!! :-) Be very careful when filling out yr visa application. I made an minor error that means I have to withdraw. It sucks beyond reason. There are no room for human error in the application, so make sure all is correct and double check. At least I dont get banned to re apply "just" poorer and the risk of the occupation ceiling...
Somudra
Mine was refused. But My agent has already re applied without paying extra money. I am an ICT business analyst but working in a different sector as most of the ICT BA jobs in Canberra need security clearance, even If someone works in a private IT company as most of the private org work for the Govt agencies. ACT MIS unit informed my agent that the job I am working at this moment is not a skilled job, which is partially true, its a Semi skilled. but as many Canberra graduates did manage to get a waiver regarding this matter many times before, I am hopeful that I will also get that waiver. My agent also handled same kind of case before and informed me that he is gonna talk to the MIS unit face2face. Hopefully everything will be sorted out within this week. Fingers crossed
N7kkp
Annette what happened? Can you advise the error so we dont do the same mistake. So sad for you, this visa game is so stressful and a roller coaster for your emotions

bluechris1975
Brilliant news Nick! Congrats. Thanks for your kind wishes by the way. Sorry not replied - mad busy planning the move! As someone else said, do be careful and ideally check your EOI before telling ACT the EOI number. I nearly accidentally over claimed years of skilled experience, as my current job is totally relevant to my recognised profession, but I didn't get it VETASSESS-ed (didn't want to tell my boss then!), so you have to say it's not relevant to the profession. There's a sticky on the migration forum you've probably seen about not over-claiming on EOI which saved my bacon - thanks to Alan the migration agent! AnnetteV
Hi, I misread the question if I meet the Australian study requirement. I said yes and should have said no. No because I have not studied IN Australia but in Denmark and England. I hope we all get granted sponsorship/visa soon.
sully7669
Visa applied for and now started uploading documents that we have had certified, they require alot more so a trip to the solicitors is on order this week and meds being booked today and will send police check forms also. Lots to do and hopefully we will have visa grant by Xmas, with a view for a July move. Suddenly so real now not just a pipedream!!!

N7kkp
Hi all you have got me reviewing my eoi. On my EOI i stated that i worked for my previous employer from 24/04/2006 to 27/06/2010 however my reference states i worked from 25/04/2006 to 26/06/2010. The reason why it is slightly different is because i used a calendar and didnt have a break between the jobs before or after. It does not change my points so i have not over claimed but is slightly different. Do i need to worry?

Also my little boy needs some stuff certified and also some for me. Did not realise you could scan in colour. I will get certified as its free from our solicitor friend. Nick, we received confirmation of a valid visa application early hours of this morning and i am sure you wont need to worry about that slight calender difference, if you are then ring immi up and see what they say as $3060 is alot to pay for a small difference. It will put your mind at rest.

I don't think they'd care about that unless the extra 2 days pushed your experience up over one of the thresholds and so got you 5 points you shouldn't have had. I had an issue like that and it was never mentioned.
N7kkp
Hi Bluechris. Thanks for that. No does not change my points and i didn't benefit from the extra 2 days. You have got your grant so congratulations. Out of interest what was your similar difference?
bluechris1975
Hi Bluechris. Thanks for that. No does not change my points and i didn't benefit from the extra 2 days. You have got your grant so congratulations. Out of interest what was your similar difference? It was a week. I thought I finished one job and started the next a week earlier than I did. They were both 'recognised' jobs so it didn't make any difference. I reckon yours fits into the same bracket.
AnnetteV
Hi Maria, I have to reapply. I feel very blessed this morning. When I woke up there were an invitation to apply from ACT. I didnt have to pay the 300 dollars again, they nominated me with my new EOI. So now I wait to see if I get refunded the 3060 dollars. I really hope so but in any case I feel very lucky that I have received an new invitation
