  1. Hello Canberra Team! We are near to move to Canberra in the end of March 2015 on 190 PR, so I have started my employment research. Does enyone know about the events market in there? I have a huge experience in international events therefore hope to secure some job in my major. Please share your opinion. Also wondering - I had a work experience in the Parliament in my country, mostly in goverment events, can it help me to secure some role in the government - ACT or federal? Or it is completely closed for new comers? Thanks guys in advance, Maria

    Visa Granted

Congratulations, Nick & Siobhan! :wubclub: Best of luck to you in your landing to Canberra! Looks like I am the last one waiting for visa from our ACT gang ))
  3. Do you have any copies or scanned copies? If yes, just resend them by e-mail to you CO
  4. Congratualtions with this wonderfull Christmas Gift! All the best to your family in the New Year and in Australia! :xmas20::xmas17::xmas8: I suppose tomorrow is the last chance to get any news from DIAC in this year?
  5. After request of our CO we have resent her all our docs by e-mail, and I hope they are revising them now. Just patience ))
  6. Dear AnnetteV!!! On behalf of our Canberra gang wow wow wow! Congratulations! :wubclub::wubclub::wubclub: Enjoy this moment and all the best to you in Oz! I'm still waiting without any news, but I am sure somebody in DIAC just doing his/her job with our case so news evidently come sooner or later
  7. Yes guys I think this is the reason. Of course they should treat us (HR people) more carefully than British or European citizens... this is normal from my point of view... but it is also mentioned on DIAC web site that maximum timeframe for 190 visa is 6 month regardless HR or LR country of origin...
  8. Oh in our case I think we won't avoid at least some kind of checking, as my husband is Iranian and now we are located in Iran )) Despite I work for Russian governmental company ... I only hope it will not be external security checks ))
  9. Ooops ) I have the same lady ) So we will see..... Just emailed my ex-bosses informing them about possible "e-mail from Oz" ))))
  10. jbb, who is your CO? initials pls
  11. Before I did 2 times, they answered that they confirm they recieved all docs for all members of our application and I should ask for details from my CO... I have no idea what it means, but hope to hear from CO soon
  12. Leslie thank you for your details, my timeline is very close to you. And I'm also waiting. My CO last week asked to resend her ALL docs by email. But I stay positive - at least things move. And I have no Idea what's going on with our meds
  13. Come on guys, do not make it more complicated than it is. This is very simple medical examination, for our family of 3 people it took about 3 hours to do all. And please consider, that in some cases medicals could be reffered, and it takes a lot of time to wait for results. So if you do in Jan how much time you will need to wait? Maybe you can arrange with clinic to split examination into 2 parts for example - blood tests & chest x-ray / examination by doctor... or another way and each part will take for example 1 hour and your bossess will be ok with a short time of absence?
  14. Guys, today we got a letter from our CO that we should send all the docs via e-mail. He he, where are all these IT speciallists migrating to Australia???? Ok at least CO is active and I am going to stay positive )))
  15. Dear Nick, I am also happy that we are on the same thread again and I hope also that you and your family enjoying every day despite these waiting games )) In my opinion these statuses in eVisa do not reflect real situtation, for example my status is still 'in progress' however CO is revising our case asking for additional documents. On 7th of november we got a request for Family Composition proof and relevant docs were uploaded immediately. (Fingers crossed I hope this is the last request and visa coming sooooooon!) CO will write you only in case she or he needs some additional information from you, if all the docs the need provided they sometimes appear first time by sending a grant letter. But do not worry your case will not stay without attention!
  16. Nick, I have the same. I think stay calm, no worries. I am used to the situation when during the weekends system does not work properly. As usually patience is our second name.....
  17. Hi Sumithra, this is not at all hard, we provided certificate of marriage and for my baby consent from her father (he is my ex husband) that he confirms he agree that she goes to Australia for permanent stay with me.
  18. Laslie, patience these days our second name.... Now I managed to open eVisa file and I see that on 7th of November CO asked additional docs for Family Composition proof. They were provided by my agent the same day. Looks like it was additional stage of revising our case.... What is going to be next?
  19. Woooooo hooooo best of luck to you in Oz! :wubclub:
  20. I also do not understand our current status.... Despite we have uploaded all docs to our eVisa file I still see "recommended","required", "requested" statuses.... Today I could not open the system.... yesterday my MARA agent sent a letter to CO, no answer still.... hmmmmmm It looks like they try to finish with 175&176s and focused on them as DIAC promised to finish untill the new year starts.....
  21. Tonight our Mara agent wrote an email to our co advising that all our docs were uploaded. Now waiting for the answer
  22. Guys we have uploaded all docs to CO. Now waiting again. I check email every 2 hour. It kills meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:arghh::arghh:
  23. Fari447' while waiting for the outcome from vetassess explore web sites of Australia states. Find your profession in the relevant lists of demand, information about the requirements. As far as I remember, you occupation is in the list of ACT for example. But in most cases, if you would like to apply for the sponsorship of a state in order to get 190 visa you are required to provide IELTS report and result of your professional assessment. But such a research will be very useful for planning. By the way, we have just returned from Dubai, it looks so good, we even thought maybe we should try to relocate there instead of Australia... So many opportunities there. What's wrong with it?
  24. D4ddycool I work through the Mara agent and he sometimes does not forward to me co's letters. I should check with him. Wish you fast and smooth processing
  25. Waiting, waiting, waiting :arghh:
