sully7669 Posted September 27, 2012 Share Posted September 27, 2012 N7kkp we struggled to find 3 jobs originally but came up with some more just by googling companies in Canberra and going on their websites for vacancies and came about 3 more so that was a bonus. Ironically we wanted to go to Perth originally and insurance broker is not on their list but we found 120 jobs related to my wifes occupation. Anyway i need to provide some more information which they will consider. So still got a chance. The reason why more info is needed is because of the lack of callcentre manager jobs. I have provided the extra info needed and now the decision rests on one individuals feedback. I struggled to find a job in my nominated occupation and so needed to send my cv for a job fit. I have noticed if I write sponsorship in search area on seek.com.au jobs are coming up offering job with sponsorship. Guest Aloochi Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 Hi All, I'm considering applying for a state sponsorship for the 'advertising specialist' category which is on limited availability meaning I have to go through the Migration and Information Services Unit for a clearance before I can apply for it. Among other things I have to prove that there are Advertising positions that I may qualify for available in Canberra. I started the process assuming (very silly of me) that it would be fairly easy to prove as there are advertising jobs practically everywhere but much to my surprise (read: shock) after hours and hours of browsing I could find none online. When you applied for ACT SS, did you include 6 vacancies in your research employment?. I am very worried to be refused though I included 6 vacancies. My advise would be to give them a call and talk through your concerns as you dont want to be inmy boat with a refusal. Out of interest what occupation are you applying for? I am also waiting for an answer but my situation is slightly different, as mine is a resubmitted app. Anyway i contacted them yesterday after 4 working days after being told i have a case officer, and was informed i should hear back early next week.
