Telephoned global health this morning and was advised they cannot give me any timescales re electronic applications!!!! but only advised we will be waiting a bit longer yet, as huge backlog? And they are working on apps from 16th July????????

Elaine :arghh:

hi Elaine - do you know if they can give more idea of timescale if the medicals were sent by courier? Ours are paper based and if there is a chance my visa geezer can find out i will ask him to call GH. it is soooooo frustrating waiting.....

They advised that they are working on (paper applications) date 16/7 at present, if this is true? U have a wee while yet to wait. From my conversation with gh yesterday I think we're all in for a longer wait than we all realised!!!!!

I'm so over this waiting malarkey! Every morning at 6.30am I eagerly log onto immi.gov.au only to still see the same message "further medical referred", ARGHHHH!!! It has now been 36 days!

The funny thing is that it's taken almost 3 years to get to this point for us but it's so frustrating because we are sooooo close to our visa (our CO has confirmed that my medicals are all she is waiting for) yet so far away still. We have our house up for sale and have another viewing on it tomorrow yet my Husband is reluctant to accept any offers we may get on the house until we know my medicals are ok. It's so frustrating!!

Hi guys, have been stalking this thread for ages and can't really stand it anymore so decided to join in. I am applying for visa 457 dependent. My husband is already in Australia. I am pregnant so desperate to go and join my husband. Anyway, meds was referred 04/09 ( I have a pre existing medical condition). My husband's employer appointed an agent on my behalf. I have been told off by DIAC not to email them and only make contact with them via my agent . So I think I am into a long wait! I hope you guys is going to get your visa any days now.....here's hoping.....

Hi guys, Anybody here who are still waiting for the results of their medical assessment from MOC for more than 30 days? Who suffers the same dilemna as me? Mine were refered last May 31, 2012 and until now I still have'nt a clue when Global health will start to get a look at them.. It's quiet frustrating...

Alway Always chase immigration at every stage of the game. Leave the alloted time frame and then chase them. My medicals were lost some how and I had to chase them and go back to the centre that performed them to get it all sent again.

Chase everything

Good luck

I totally feel you Sara! The waiting thing, especially when it has taken that long (3 years for you and 4 years for me) can be a daunting experience. My CO also confirmed that she doesn't require any more documents from me. It feels like I'm so close yet so far!

All the best, and do keep me updated on any progress

my daughters medical was refferred on the 14th august, then on the 21st of august it said referred again?, just this morning woke to an email from global health asking for further report, and she needs to go back to the panel doctor for further examination :( !!! she has chronic fatigue syndrome, and only attends school part time, but she goes to a main stream school, is a average student even with part time hours, argh!!! it is just so frustrating, not only the long wait but the unsurity as to the end outcome!

Wao, it actually takes them 30 days from referred to asking for further reports. Are you with an agent? I have read in other forum that it is worth to consult an experience agent/lawyer so to prepare a good and comprehensive specialist report to bring with you to the panel doctor. I hope everything goes well.

Saw on expatforum that patopking's referred medicals were finalized today, he was referred on 20 July

My goodness, if thats the case then GH really haven't progressed much over the last seven days! Hope things speed up a bit :chatterbox:as i'm going slighty bonkers!
