elainep75 Posted September 15, 2012 Share Posted September 15, 2012 good morning peeps we have an update our meds status has now changed to "health requirements finalised" initially we were very excited!!! however we are now doubting the situation?? as we have read on here before that finalised doesn't always mean the visa is granted. Benoli Posted September 15, 2012 Share Posted September 15, 2012 Elaine, you probably read about my situation on here where I was told my sons meds had been finalised when in fact he had failed the medical.......his status was never changed from referred and still says referred, I was informed in a phonecall to GH that he had been finalised, not online. Will not go into detail on here but needless to say we were shocked and horrified and now see exactly why my son failed the medical! to cut a long story short, I have made a complaint and spoken to the lead clinician who thankfully agrees with us. He will speak to the doctor to get his side of the story and come back to us. Will wait to see what he comes back with next week then will be making a formal complaint to GH who are the people who deal with complaints about panel doctors.......never a dull moment here! Hi Benoli, I have followed your story on this thread. I am so sorry. I hope you will get there in the end. I believed the specialists reports from the paed and psych are favourable? I am surprised that they put more weigh on the panel doctor's report then the other two specialists. The fact that the panel doctor didn't say anything to you during the medical exam also is very weird. Anyway, are you going to appeal with the help of a lawyer or an experience agent? Good luck!
