Well we’ve got no update either; I’m trying my best not to log onto the DIAC website because it drives me crazy when I see “referred” lol. I’m going to try to check just once a week and wait for an email from the CO. I’ll keep you posted if I hear anything x

good morning peeps we have an update

our meds status has now changed to "health requirements finalised" initially we were very excited!!! however we are now doubting the situation?? as we have read on here before that finalised doesn't always mean the visa is granted.

At least there is some change to the process, and we will know soon either way:unsure::unsure:

Have a nice weekend peeps

OMG Elaine! Congrats on your meds being finalised. We were referred on the same day so I checked our status and yep ours we’re finalised to – date says 15.09.2012 – whoo, finally 47 days later :)

Let’s hope that does mean we get our visa grant on Monday. My checklist on DIAC still says required for everything but I think this is also normal sometimes. Keep us posted, I’ve updated the spreadsheet.

Enjoy your weekend, Clare x

fantastic news Clare, im even more excited now:biggrin: the more peeps from our date that have been finalised means higher chance that is a good "finalised" and grant should follow next week.

Elaine, you probably read about my situation on here where I was told my sons meds had been finalised when in fact he had failed the medical.......his status was never changed from referred and still says referred, I was informed in a phonecall to GH that he had been finalised, not online. So if your status online has changed to finalised then to me its a pretty good sign that all is completed and your visa is on its way! xx

a brief update from me.......yesterday we finally got hold of a copy of what the panel doctor had written in his report. Will not go into detail on here but needless to say we were shocked and horrified and now see exactly why my son failed the medical! to cut a long story short, I have made a complaint and spoken to the lead clinician who thankfully agrees with us. He will speak to the doctor to get his side of the story and come back to us. Will wait to see what he comes back with next week then will be making a formal complaint to GH who are the people who deal with complaints about panel doctors.......never a dull moment here!

That's a good step Benoli! Hang in there and keep praying that in the end things will work out. Please do keep us in the loop.

Thank u so much for sharing this info, its very reassuring as we are patiently waiting on the email

And it sounds like u have a good chance at appeal/review? I truly believe good things happen to good people, and for u to reassure us at this time, considering your current dilema, lets me know that ur a good person and will get your visa granted too.

God bless u & urs, from me n mine xx

Hi Benoli, I have followed your story on this thread. I am so sorry. I hope you will get there in the end. I believed the specialists reports from the paed and psych are favourable? I am surprised that they put more weigh on the panel doctor's report then the other two specialists. The fact that the panel doctor didn't say anything to you during the medical exam also is very weird. Anyway, are you going to appeal with the help of a lawyer or an experience agent? Good luck!
