  1. Hi, Your points don't tell us anything as we don't know your occupation. While 70 might be great for some occupations for 189, for others it is not enough. However, I think it might be best if you apply for 190 (check if you fulfill the specific requirements of the state), it's permanent and with 75 points you might be invited soon (again, depending on your occupation). Best of Luck x
  2. Hi there, You have pretty high score and should be invited soon. No one can really tell how long does it take for 190. The end of the financial year probably slowed down the process. You might also have a chance for 189 with 75 points, I'd try it too. Good luck
  3. Hi Kate, Did you try contact ANMAC? they might be able to help
  4. Hi Peimika, I *think* chances for invitation actually depend on your ANZSCO code, so different for all types of registered nurses. I'm surgical and was invited within 3 days however, my friend who is NEC waited 4 months for invitation. Others I know with same points but different specialisation have been waiting for invitation since February. It would be only logical if they were inviting those who are most needed first.
  5. Do you have 65 points for 189? The chance for invite is very very low. If you have 70 points for 190 the chances are good but it'll depend on the state you applied to.
  6. Hi, Please don't forget about registering with AHPRA, I can't see it anywhere in your plan. Good luck
  7. Hi Sarz, My points are 70 (including state sponsorship) Occupation is Registered nurse, surgical Applied for 190 to Victoria on 30/05/2019 No CO contact so far. If you talk about cost, here's one - I had to pay for bridging program in order to get registered in Australia which was $16000 AUD on top of other costs Good luck to everyone
  8. Hi Seema, Yes it's true it's not recommended to tick 'any' as this might be seen as lack of commitment for the state that would otherwise sponsor you. Victoria in particular is very picky about the applicants. I'd create two separate EOIs. Good luck
  9. It looks like that but I'm no expert so it might be worth asking a immi lawyer? Best of Luck x
  10. Hi Emma, The conditions for 190 are different for every state. Victoria does require two years of experience. NSW doesn't but the wait is very long. I've applied for VIC with same point score and they did check my experience.
  11. Hi Aman, It's true the immi will ask for tax returns together with other supporting documents. Tax returns are one of the more important along with contract and professional reference. You might submit plenty of other documents but they might still ask for the tax returns. Could you contact your tax office or your overseas job they might have the records? If not, I'd contact a migration agent who might be able to help you with this issue. Good luck
  12. I *think* it depends on what are you wanting to be sponsored as? If you want to be sponsored as RN nec you probably wouldn't need to do a new skill assessment but if you want to be sponsored as surgical I'd say you'd need a new skill assessment? However, I'm not an expert so you might contact an immi lawyer to make sure or anmac. Regards
  13. Hi! That way you'll still have only 60+5 but it might be sufficient for Tassie, I don't have a personal experience. I remember they were quite specific with their requirements for nurses so check that you fulfil all of these first. And yes I'd submit a new EOI as the previous one from April 2018 was only to NSW if I understand it correctly. Further, you might boost your score by providing superior English or NAATI. Good Luck x
  14. Hi Lee, I'd start with checking the SOL first to see whether your occupation is on the list. Then, check WA requirements for the immigration, every state has it differently. If you're on the SOL and fulfilling the state requirements, have a look at your points. Are you thinking about 190? You might even be eligible for 189. Skill assessment will probably need to be done, depending on the country where you studied. Same with English test but you will probably do it anyway as every point matters and the more points you're able to gather the better. Best of luck!
  15. Hi there, Yes you definitely can lodge another EOI to VIC. Based on my experience, I'd strongly suggest you to do that. NSW has stopped the invitation for now and you don't have a chance for 189. I also needed superior English to boost my score and ended up doing PTE, it's so much easier than ietls! Check out some videos on YouTube. Good luck x
  16. Ash, I've given you all the information you needed on the other post. What is still not clear? Once again, your chief nurse is the one who writes your reference. If it's you who's writing it then just stick to the anmac website and the infos I've given you. If you're still having problems even after all the information you've been given please contact a migration agent.
  17. No worries, I've uploaded work agreement, pay slips, tax returns and professional reference.
  18. Hi, I'm not claiming any points for my overseas work experience (Vic just needed 2 years of experience and validated it themselves) and I had the same requirement on the upload page. I just uploaded every document I had to support my experience but not sure why they wanted it..
  19. Iscah predicted the invites will start around September.
  20. Hi all, Just heads up, NSW have stopped invites for 190. Announcement – NSW skilled nominated migration (190) closed for 2018-19 We would like to announce that we have met our quota of nominations for the Skilled-Nominated visa (subclass 190) for the 2018-19 financial year. We will announce the commencement of invitations to apply for NSW nomination for the 2019-20 financial year via our website in the coming weeks.
  21. Your agent is probably referring to new regional visas? The new ones allow you to stay in any regional area not sure but think they come in to play somwhere in September/October. However, there's no chance to get PR after just one year. Can you try 190 instead?
  22. Hi Ash, I can't help you with these, you're working there and you know what are your competencies. I worked in Surgery but in different country. Your competencies come from your country's health law about registered nurses. Good luck
  23. Hi Ash, I'm not a professional who can judge if it's all good. I've given you all the info you needed and I'm sure if you do your best it will be sufficient Best of luck x
  24. Hi Anna, I don't have personal experience with OET but some of my mates had to do it twice to get the desired score. It's up to you of course just don't do IELTS ha ha I lived in Sydney for almost 5 years, now travelling and waiting for my PR (can't wait to get back!) Good luck x
  25. They are pretty friendly at the immigration, I'd probably leave it blank and ask one of the officers when you get there.
