  1. Hi Anna, I've struggled with IELTS for so long until I finally got the desired score for ahpra /anmac. BUT! Then I needed a boost for my language skills so went for PTE - A and killed it on the first sitting. It's totally doable, all you need to do is study the test format, I just learnt everything from YouTube and then purchased one mock test and I was ready to go. Try, it its so much easier then IELTS. Good luck!
  2. Hi Ash, Everything is on anmac website however there's no specific template. Make sure that the reference is from the Chief nurse and very detailed. It should include: - your role description and your anzsco code - full time or part time position / how many hours a week you worked, how many hours in total did you work there and how long were the shifts - description of the ward you worked at. Was it acute? Medical or surgical? What were the common diagnosis? - specifically what did you do on daily basis. Make sure that everything is covered from hygiene to meds administration so they have an idea what was the daily routine. The document should be signed, stamped and on original paper with the letterhead. Hope this helps, Martina
  3. Hi Ash, Which format or what specifically do you need help with?
  4. Hi Ratu, We've done it recently and it took about 6 business days to Australia and three weeks to Europe. There's no digital form of the check so it MUST arrive by post.
  5. Wow what an amazing effort - Congratulations! Good to see that someone paid more than me lol. I paid about 27k AUD for the whole process including three years of enormous stress and dealing with various institutions and tests. All the best to your new life down under x
  6. I think so too. I just wanted to front load everything to speed the process up a bit. Oh well. Have you had any contact yet Lavers?
  7. Hi everyone, I have already submitted my 190 application and have a question about health examination. This is (will be) the only part missing in my application. I have already done the medicals in August last year for different visa so it's expiring in August I guess. Based on what I read on my immi account I can't do any action on this until they contact me, can't generate a new HAP ID either. Since the CO will get my application in about 3 months, it looks like I have to wait for the CO contact? My partner doesn't have the medicals done yet and I'm not sure whether we should wait for the CO contact too? I can generate the HAP ID for him with no issues but no timeline is given there so the question is, when should he have the medicals done? If it was up to me I'd probably just wait so we could both do it together but the sentence "if you don't provide your health examination your visa might be refused" scares me. thoughts?
  8. Hi Nikkigel, Yes it's true, it's almost impossible to get 189 with 65 points at this time. What is your ANZSCO code? I'd go for 190 if you can. You'd have to have the offer of employment only if you wanted to migrate between the states (eg NSW to VIC). Are you currently living in Australia or overseas? If applying from overseas you mostly don't need the job offer. With the money on your account, it's not that bad, for VIC it was $25k I think and no one has asked for it so far. Hope this helps x
  9. Hi Kate, Ad 1, I think the ANZSCO code should mirror the field you've worked the most during your carrier and of course you have to provide a professional reference letter from the hospital. With me it was easy, I only worked in surgery. Ad 2, you can get your international clearance from your home country without travelling back there. At least that is true in the most cases. It will just take longer for the document to arrive internationally if sent by post. Ad 3, The fact that you'll be RN with AHPRA at that time would be ok as it is one of the main requirements for 190/189. There are lot of people who do it this way and are able to claim the points for their masters I don't see a reason why you couldn't do it too. Hope this helps x Martina
  10. I submitted my EOI to NSW too (65+5) and haven't heard anything since February. I'm not an immi lawyer but think that it's almost impossible with your points to get the invite, especially from NSW. If you can study in regional Australia and gain more points, I'd go for it. I do have my bachelor from overseas (Czech Republic) and had to go through bridging program in order to get registered in Australia.
  11. Oh OK! I don't really know how the registration in principle works I just finalised my registration and anmac while I was living in Australia. Maybe someone else can advise? I understand your points situation, I was just trying to suggest to move things asap as there might be change in minimal points required soon and everything takes so much time (even anmac was 6 weeks). I've done the whole process (4 years) by myself as any MARA agent couldn't help me and some even gave me wrong advice. It was hard at times, but I finalised everything in the end. I know from other forums that nec nurses wait really long time for an invite and NSW specifically takes highest pointers first. Good luck Hun x
  12. Hi there, First of all, NSW is probably your only shot as you have very little experience. Second, I'm pretty sure AHPRA registration is one of the requirements for 190. It's a very long process of getting it so start asap. Have you studied overseas? If so, you'll need ANMAC too. What nurse are you? With 65 (60+5) points it's probably going to be very long wait, can you boost your points? Cheers x
  13. Hey Lavers, These are requirements for citizenship AND visas. What you're writing about is literally what is says on the website and the whole point why I was asking for an advice. It seems stupid to scan a signed passport photo and lower the quality of the photo dramatically when I can just upload a digital form. That's what we are discussing here.
  14. For all of you wondering where I found the info about photo requirements... https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-text/eplus/Pages/elp-h1470.aspx same information can also be find on various websites such as this one: https://www.am22tech.com/australia-visa-photo/
  15. Hi JetBlast, So did you send the digital photo or did you print it out, sign it and scan it? That was actually the question
  16. Thank you Garry, I already have the digital photo which I wanted to upload but then saw their requirements on the website and couldn't believe my eyes. It obviously makes more sense to upload the digital one like I did with my skill assessment. If you were ok doing this I hope I'll be fine too ha ha Thanks
  17. Hi rammygirl, Can I ask how did you scan the photo since they say on their website I can't place it in the corner or the side or in the middle of the scanner?
  18. Hi all, I'm finishing my application for 190 visa. I'm so confused about uploading the passport photo. First of all, no specific information about size of the photo is given - is it an Australian passport photo dimensions or what? Second of all, I have a digital photo which I wanted to upload. However, according to home affairs website, they want me to have it printed out and then scan it with signed back. This will lower the quality of the photo and I cannot see why they want it this way? Further, if I do it this way, I have no idea how to scan it if scanning the photo in the middle is not acceptable based on their website. I so want to attach my digital photo but not sure whether they'd accept it? How did you do it? Please help me!!!
  19. Registration with ahpra is one of the requirements for 190 who told you it isn't? I'm not surprised they want it from you. Everything with ahpra takes ages so hope you can sort it out asap fingers crossed!
  20. Hi there, If you get state sponsored (190) it comes with some conditions, like you have to live in the state that sponsored you for two years (Vic). You don't even have to work in your occupation which is crazy. Unless else specified, you can also live anywhere in Victoria. Check online with different states what are their conditions. Good luck!
  21. You should try to increase your language skills to 20 by reaching top marks in either ielts or pte. I'd recommend pte, it's easier. In that way you'll boost your score +10. Once you reach 33 the points for age will be reduced.
  22. I got pre invited by VIC in 3 days. However it really depends on your occupation. I'm surgical registered nurse.
  23. Mmm. Okey that makes sense. I was trying to generate my hap id for a new medical just now and surprisingly, there's no option for 190! Should I just go with 189? I think the medicals are same for both visas anyway.
