  1. Hi Lavers, thank you for your reply! Yes we'd preferably get a direct grant that's why I'm weighing this option. I know my medicals are valid for 12 months but there's still some time left and I also read that it needs to be valid at the time of lodgement which it will be. Good luck with everything! I'm getting there but still have a month and a half of time.
  2. Hi again Just wondering whether submit our medicals and police clearance together when lodging the 190 application? I'm currently in the process of gathering everything for the lodgement and I've read that they actually prefer it this way and I also happen to have my medicals from 8/2018. So it would be just for my partner and then PCC. What's your experience? Also, which police check did you use? I lived in Au before so I'd probably have to do AFP but how about my European clearance? The link on home affairs website didn't work so I'm curious which one you've taken and how much was it? Is there any international check that would include all countries I've lived in? Thank you all so much
  3. Hi all, Could anyone advise me how did you get your pay slips translated for your application? I apply for 190 and don't claim points for experience but still need to provide pay slips for about three years to support my contract. How did you let yours translated? Should I just take a few from every year? Make a table? My NAATI doesn't know either. Any advise appreciated.
  4. Hi everyone, Wondering if anyone has an experience with the following: After being invited by Victoria I've received an email from them (after 2 weeks of submitting the application) saying they don't recommend me for 190 visa because I didn't prove that I have a job offer from Victoria. According to their website, this is only a requirement for people wanting to migrate from different Australian state to Victoria. I lived in NSW (left in August 2018) however I applied offshore so this didn't apply to me. It looks like the person going through my application just saw that I have a nsw address on my AHPRA and ANMAC and didn't read the CV where I explain everything. I've written them back right away and waiting for a response. Has this happened to anyone or is it just me having everything complicated lol.
  5. Hi everyone, Has anyone been invited by Victoria recently? I'm curious how long is their processing time before they approve and pass on to home affairs, I know they say 12 weeks but any personal experiences? Also, my agent told me that home affairs are quicker with visas for nurses but don't know whether it's true or not. Anyone? Thanks!
  6. Hi Rebecca, Do you want 190? Meaning you have 65+5 points? If so, no one will tell you how long are you going to wait for the invite. I've heard months to a full year. They generally advise to boost your score to at least 70. Also, I think it depends on your anzco and what are the current shortages in the state. I personally was freaking out about how long it might take but got invited after just three days. I'm surgical though.
  7. I'm so sorry to hear that Pauline. I've read your posts and know you've been waiting for a long time I've said good bye to 198 and got invited for 190 within 3 days! It's still going to be a wait for me though. Good luck with everything
  8. Hi there, No one in Australia will offer you an RN job without AHPRA registration. The process is quite lengthy and they can be pain in the a** so I would start working on the registration asap.
  9. Hah! Yeah definitely! Now for the nightmare of submitting documents did you find it easy Jenki? Any advice?
  10. Hey y'all, I just want to give you heads up that I've been invited to VIC just AFTER THREE DAYS SINCE LODGING THE EOI! It's unbelievable that it was that quick!
  11. Hi there, wondering how did you go? I'm currently waiting for NSW or Vic invitation at 70 points (65+5) and have no idea how long would it take
  12. Hi there, wondering how did you go? I'm currently waiting for NSW or Vic invitation at 70 points (65+5) and have no idea how long would it take
  13. I'll apply for that. Do you think I'd get invited from VIC given the fact that I meet the requirements? I mean it looks like that on the Web but I don't want to spend six months - year waiting for something to happen
  14. Yeah I've already talked to two. The thing is, no one is able to give me any info about how long would I wait for 190. And if it's even possible to get 190 with 70 points. I basically said bye to 189 at this point.
  15. It's not a working holiday visa but work and holiday it's a bit different. I am within the age range till May so I might go for that. I would be able to work for one employer for 6 months only so I would probably use it more for finding a sponsor or working till I get 190...
  16. I'm not, unfortunately I had to leave Australia as my student visa expired. I'm currently overseas in Asia. I was thinking going back home to Czech Republic and get an RN job for a few months but I'm a bit worried what ANMAC would say to that if I wanted to ad this experience to the one they've already recognised... Another option would be go back to Oz on Work and Holiday visa and find an RN job while waiting for the 190 to be processed. I guess I just didn't realise it's such a lengthy process, it took me 4 years to get to this point.
  17. Thank you Jenki75, I actually have over 5 years of experience but ANMAC recognised only the 2.9 years (after degree) which sucks to be honest! I found it so strange that there is no info about 190 processing times and invites. I'm thinking about lodging my application with Victoria as well. Do you know if I have to create a new EOI for that?
  18. I'm applying for 189,190. I put together 65 points so might have bigger chance with 190 (65+5) but have no idea about the waiting time
  19. I don't think I can go to SA, they want 5 years of experience don't they? I already have superior English (30 for age 15 for degree 20 for English). Unfortunately I have 2 years and 50 weeks of experience according to Anmac so I can't claim the 5 points for it. I always wanted to apply for 189 however, now it's clear I might have bigger chance with going for 190 (65+5) but I can't find any statistics online how often they invite for state sponsorship with 70
  20. Hi Rifka, I've done modified assessment and it clearly says in the determination letter which years of your experience they recognise.
  21. Hi everyone, I've just submitted my EOI. I have 65 points (Registered Nurse, Surgical) and was aiming mainly for 189 but realised I may be waiting for long time so submitted for 190 (NSW) as well. Does anyone have an idea how long would be the waiting process? Do I have better chances with 190? Any recent experiences? Thank you!!
  22. Hi Lucie, I know what you're going through, I had to sit ielts 4 times to get the desired score for AHPRA. Now when I'm RN in Australia, I was still missing points for EOI (they've changed it last year when I was in the process) so I tried PTE as everyone was recommending them. I spend about 3 weeks learning the strategies and techniques and guys what? I scored 90/90/85/85 on the first attempt! I wish I knew this before, AHPRA also accepts PTE so if I knew I would have done it so much earlier. It's just a thing with ielts, they won't let you pass! Go for PTE, seriously!
