  1. My husband came here in 1966 as a 12 year old . he never got Citizenship until 2007 same time as me . He worked for the government for donkeys years and was more than happy with his life . No conspiracy as to why he never got Citizenship before then . He could do everything a citizen done so didnt even give it a thought . He went back to the UK couple of times for a holiday but like he said could never live there didnt interest him . Here is his home . You should look on the 10 pound Pom page id say half of them are still PR and quite happy .
  2. Dont think it makes any difference how long you have been married or how many kids. You have to go in the queue like everyone else im afraid . And it is taking a long time .
  3. We had to prove we had been in a relationship for 12 months . Joint bank accounts for 12 months . Household bills in both names . Stat dec's from family and proof of emails from 12 months . It takes quite a bit as a lot of people scam this visa and from what i have read recently they are tightening it up . Best of luck . Just get lots and lots of evidence . Facetiming is not really evidence . They need hard evidence .
  4. The child if born here can only travel in and out of Australia on a Aussie passport .T he child will not have a visa number to put in a British one as they are not a resident . So maybe concentrate on Aussie one first .Plus you will need to get an Australian citizenship certificate as well before getting a passport even though they are born here .
  5. Your son wont be flying here will he if he hasnt had a visa approved ?. Nerve wracking wait for you .
  6. Marisa , my husband has been here 55 years and we still have to pay for a specialist . Its not private and was done through our doctor . So not always free . $370 just to walk through his door at our local public hospital . Will get some back through medicare .He is nearly 66 and of retiring age .
  7. They must of changed the rules then since i done it as i had to prove i had been with him for 12 months . Having a joint bank account , bills , emails , photo's , letters ect in both names at least 12 months before i lodged the visa . Otherwise it would mean you could meet someone a month and say you met 12 months ago as no evidence .

  10. You pay Rates , Water rates , electric , gas . Our rates where i am are $1800 a year , but im on the lower end , it goes a lot higher . water rates are every 2 months . Electric is every 2 months and that is quite high . Gas is every 3 months . Then you have house insurance and general upkeep of property . This is in Perth .
  11. Yep Labor won in WA . Promised us in our suburb that he will give us a 24 hour police station . All the Labor voters were going see he done as he promised . Yep he did , he just failed to tell everyone if they got a 24 hour police station he would take 23 cops off the beat . Always the little sting in the tail they forget to mention .
  12. Well ive got my partner visa and thats what they asked for from me . And if you go on other other Pom pages thats what they are still asking for . You need 12 months of proof you have been together and joint bills and bank statements , letters , photo's and anything else . Even the immi agents are telling them this .
  13. Why dont you wait and get citizenship and then get am Aussie passport
  14. Sheldon , for that partner visa you need to have lived together for 12 months and have had joint bank accounts , utility bills and lots of other evidence to prove you have lived together . You need stat decs from people saying you have lived together 12 months , pictures . You need to prove everything for previous 12 months . They like to see it all .
