    I have not yet submitted my documents for my 100 as we are still in Vietnam, where we have been volunteering. They have requested a police check from all countries I have lived in for 12 months - and here its tricky. We arrived on October 10th last year, and leave tomorrow for Thailand.........its a grey area if it counts as 12 months? we have left and returned so cumulatively its not 365 days. Also, as we leave for Thailand, and we only have 28 days to produce all documents, its highly unlikely I can get the police check as it takes around 21 days, and I need to go in and sign documents to start the process. Am I stressing over nothing? Can anyone give me any guidance please, as I don't want to contact them if I don't have to....

    Thanks - thats really helpful! I have done the address update and begun the 100 application but our documents are in Australia ? hopefully the brother in law is coming over and can bring them here..... I thought with the 100 you cannot leave Australia for longer than 2 years at a time?

    Any advice appreciated as I cannot find the information online. I have activated my 309 visa in April 2017, and we spent 6 months in Oz. Opportunity came up to move to Vietnam for work for a year, and just had offer to stay on. - How long is my 309 visa valid for? Does it matter if I am outside of Australia? - Does it make sense to hold off on applying for 100, as the 100 has more restrictions on leaving the country? On my visa details, it says that the 309 is valid for 30 years, but are there restrictions on where you need to reside? Thank you!

    Thank you - just been having a look and it seems I have to write more or less them same amount of info as before we are in Vietnam for 6 months so its going to have to wait!

    I lodged my 309 application on April 12, 2016 and entered on April 26, 2017. How do I physically apply for the 100 now? I cannot see it when I log in to my immi account.

    I was just coming back online to check this too! I entered Australia a year ago today, my visa being granted September 2016. It ALWAYS said eligible for 100 one year after visa commencement but now it’s cjanged to two years! Anyone know why?

    I have been in Australia since April this year on my 309 visa. My partner and I have just got a once in a lifetime job opportunity in Vietnam though and we really want to go. It will be for a year. Will this affect my 309-100 process at all? If anyone can direct me to info regarding travel outside of Australia that would be great.

    I am trying to get a job, been here a month but no success as yet. Even Sta Travel won't accept me because I'm on a 309 (with NO work restrictions) and don't have permanent visa status. Very frustrating and its expensive to live!

    I have recently moved to Melbourne, and opened up my NAB account. However, I have followed the website of trying to use Moneycorp to transfer money. I cannot even open the account because I don't have proof of address here - I have been here 6 days and I am staying with my partners family until we rent somewhere. I am having a dilemma because we need to use my UK money for bonds/rent upfront etc, but how ca nI do this if I can't even open an account? Does anyone have any other methods which was viable and don't take too much money off us? Thanks

    Just had to call them to let them know that we are going travelling for the next 8 months. Hoped it would prompt the visa to arrive but no luck haha.....I'm so impatient!

    Think things have slowed down. Same happened to me but I'm still waiting for the visa....

    We are packing our stuff to ship over to Aus. Is it worth packing a duvet for a double bed - are the sizes the same? I don't want to fill a box and then not be able to by sheets etc for it when we arrive. sorry for the trivial question!

    I hope so too Haven't been waiting long at all, but with selling the house etc, its all becoming very stressful!!
