  1. 1) I have done a 189 visa so I am not sure here I am afraid, however if you can renew your old AHPRA registration, you will only need to do a moddified ANMAC assessment and not the full one. 2) This is an assumption but if you have previously registered you will need to renew your old registration. As for the identity documents in list A, I submitted my partners UK passport which did not have a visa, because of this to finalise the registration she simply needs to turn up at an AHPRA office with the valid ID. Others have said it then takes a week or so to receive your pin after this. Sorry I can't answer all your questions but hopefully the above is helpful!
  2. If you are from the UK you can get a new copy of your full birth certificate and it only costs £9.25 plus is fairly quick. I requested a copy for my visa application recently. https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp
  3. You do not upload anything with the EOI, you just provide reference numbers at this stage to the IELTS test and your skills assessment. When you do apply you only need to upload colour copies, no certification needed. Please read the other thread next to this for info here. On application to prove our relationship I provided: Joint bank statements (Most recent and first form 2 years ago) My old bank statements showing large payments (mnothly rent/bills etc.) to me from my partner (3 years old) Mortgage statement (1 years old) Council tax bills (only joint bills - a couple of years) A couple of photos (1xrecent 1x8 years old) A written letter signed by msyelf explaining our relationship, when we met, where we have lived, our plans on marriage and kids etc.
  4. Yes I got my grant last mnoth so very recent experience! I had to get documents certified for my partners AHPRA (nursing) registration, the notary I used bound the documents with fancy ribbon and a proper wax stamp, there would have been no way I could upload copies of this! These were not needed for the visa application though.
  5. I am sure I have read on another thread that the wording is from the old site and references when you could post documents as you say, now it is all online only and they have not updated it.
  6. You are allowed to upload colour photo copies of your documents, there are a lot of posts on her covering this, I did not get any of my documents certified and received a direct grant. As you say it starts out by saying: "All supporting documents must be scanned and uploaded with your application. All documents that you provide must be certified copies of original documents" However further down before each item it usual starts "Scanned colour copies".
  7. Not ideal but if you struggle with IELTS Academic but manage to get 7's you can then resit using the General to aim for 8 for points, or do the PTE-A, I could not get over 7.5 in IELTS Academic, but as I only needed 7 for my skills assessment I then did PTE-A to get maximum points.
  8. I would have a read around and see if you feel like you can complete it all yourself, you can always speak to a migration agent and get their opinion before instructing them, just ensure they are MARA registered. I did everything for me and my partner by myself, but I am a very detail person generally so I double checked everything as well as spending hours on here reading different scenarios - even if i knew it would never affect me. In the end I got a direct grant in 7 calendar days, so super quick. If you have a simple case and are certain of the points you can claim then it makes doing it yourself easier, however be 100% sure on what points you can claim if you go solo. I initially thought I had more points than I did from experience, but after reading around and other advice I went with the lower option, I made the gap up by sitting the English tests to get more points there. This was the only area I had uncertainties through my process.
  9. Hi, to do the modifed assessment you need to visit Australia or be in Australia before you can do this. When you compelte your AHPRA registration if you do not have an active visa in your passport (tourist is ok I beleive) then they will not put you on the register, and thus you can not use the modified assesment. To get on the register once you have completed application you need to turn up at an AHPRA office to finalise the application, you have up to 12 mnoths to do this stage. For this reason we went down the route of using me as an accountant for the visa as my partner was unable to get 7's in the IELTS due to dyslexia. Regardless of this, I would start you AHPRA and ANMAC processes at the same time as they both take time, no need to do one before the other as they both need mostly the same documents.
  10. Yes you will need to do a Fit2Work police check and an 189 Visa specific police check, you can not use one for both I am afraid. You will most likely need to do more police checks once you are over in Aus and applying for jobs as well, so that is 3 you need.
  11. They actually changed the number of accountants they let in each year drastically in July which I had not accounted for, hence I needed a higher score and it took me until now to get my invite. My partner is a nurse but being dyslexic she only got 6 when she sat IELTS, otherwise we could have got an invite a while ago. Hopefully you can get past it!
  12. Yeah my first PTE-A I got less than 70 in the speaking!! Not sure what was different when I got the 90 as I didn't really change much, and to be honest I actually thought I did worse than the previous attempt! The Australian approach means everyone has to jump through the same hoops regardless, which I think is a much better approach than the UK. Yes some of the hoops are stupid and seem to be generating cash but you have to draw the line somewhere, and to be fair a UK passport does not always mean you speak good English! Yes I got the points needed, all is sorted now and just got to get through 5 months in work here before moving!
  13. What do you need the test for, skills assessment or points? If you need it for points can you switch to PTE-A? I got 9's in reading, listening and speaking on both sittings of IELTS but only got 7 and 7.5 in writing, I switched to PTE-A and got 90 and 86 in writing then, 2 sittings as I messed the speaking element up on my first go.
  14. AHPRA require a police check through Fit2Work, you have to do this and this police check is only valid for AHPRA. You need to do another police check for the visa application, which again is specific to the visa application and can not be used for anything else and this is done through a different company (ACRO). AHPRA Police Check: http://www.fit2work.com.au/ Visa Police Check: https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx
  15. Your cv needs to be an original signed on all pages by you, I would get the references certified, AHPRA can be picky and if they question it after you've sent the originals you then need to get fresh ones. I wrote the statements for my partner and she just printed and got her manager to sign. Not sure on ANMAC I'm afraid as didn't do this part.
  16. Just sent you a PM with more detail as it is slightly off topic.
  17. The last time a 65 point accountant was accepted was 2nd July. I would say your chances with only 65 points are very slim this year as there is a 5 month backlog in front of you. There is also the risk that next year (July) accountants will not be on the list, they have been threatening to remove them for a couple of years but the accounting bodies have pushed back. The second round of December results are not out yet but I have seen someone with 70 points in October get an invite, so there is most likely still a 70 point backlog.
  18. AHPRA took me 8 weeks from start to finish with no additional documents needed. On the English test front I would recommend PTE-A, I found this much easier and is also a lot quicker turn around as results are next day. I got 7 in Acedemic IELTS, resat and got 7.5, with PTE-A I more or less got 100%. I didn't do ANMAC as we used my occupation and not my partners so can;t help on timings here. If you are at the stage you are without a migration agent I would say you do not need one (making some assumptions here). I applied myself for me (accountant as main applicant) and my partner who is a nurse, I got a direct grant in 7 days of application! If your case is straight forward I would say do it yourself.
  19. These can be requested, but are not needed for every application. Form 80 is a very very long, if it had been easy to fill in I would have pre loaded it, but i couldn't think of the answers off the top of my head so ignored it, luckily I did not need it.
  20. I had my degree certified as that was needed for the skills assessment but that was all, but if you read around here and the wording on their website colour copies are fine, I thought I might get pulled on my black and white bank statements but I didn't! When you are logged in there was an option to do a health declaration, sorry I can't remember the wording. You answer a few questions and it then generates your HAP ID and referral letter.
  21. Nothing else, if your partner is coming and you are not married I wrote a letter explaining our relationship, but not sure if it was needed, stating when we started dating, when we started living together, when joint finances started etc. Yes a long time, however we need to sell the house and also pay off the last of our credit cards so the time is needed, we will be going over debt free which will be the first time we are debt free in 10 years!! (not that we had a lot of debt)
  22. I did not certify anything, you can upload colour copies and to be honest I actually just uploaded some black and white copies and they didn't question it.
  23. Thanks I was surprised as well, I did not apply when I got the invitation so it was only 7 days after my application which is equally as quick! If you look at it on a monthly basis, the first 2 months were both 1/12th of the total for accountants, but Auditors were 50% of total each month. Then from the 3rd month when Auditors were filled they limited the number of accounts drastically. I know they are not officially linked but this is why I thought of the above approach, which up until now works mathematically...but this is probably a coincidence! I think though in reality they just want to limit total accountants, they have been threatening taking them off the list for a few years now, so it will be interesting to see how much they limit it as you say.
  24. This is all me doing the math and no proven facts, but if you combined both accountants and auditors in to one pool of applicants, then up until the end of November the invites were ahead of the pro rata equivalent, as of the 4th December they now are below: Total visa available for both categories: Accountants 2525, Auditors 1000 = 3525 or 294 a month Issued as of end of November combined: 1540. Pro rata allocation by end of November: 1470 (294 x 5) Issued as of 4th December combined: 1585. Pro rata allocation by this point 1617 (294 x 5.5) Whether they are applying the above I do not know, but now is the first time this year where the number of applications if you combined accountants with auditors is below the pro rata allocation. I would hope that the number now increases a lot more than 45, but to be honest I am not sure if the above is me just looking for a numerical reason as to why they have changed their policy...in reality I assume they are not applying this principal and just want to limit the number of accountants.
  25. Not exactly the same as a less important organ, but my partner had her gallblader removed 8 years ago. We simply wrote this on the form and did not take anything to the medical though, all was ok.
