  1. I submitted my first and last payslip from each employer, my yearly P60 tax summary, my current employment contract and a statement listing my job details, dates, salary etc. signed by my old manager for each job (I had 4 jobs over 5 years). If you can't get all of these I have read that a summary from the tax office is sometimes acceptable as basic proof of employment, but I think in the UK you can only get 6 years of details here. A statutory declaration may help for your job description if you can back it up with an old payslip etc.
  2. Yep 805 invites left for this year for accountants now so exactly 115 per round (including March 23rd) as you say. March 23rd stats should help, as currently 70 points were invited until 5th March so hopefully there was just a surge at the start of the year and some more 65 pointers get in.
  3. Not sure if it has been mentioned but results are up from 9th March invite, 115 accountants invited all on 70 points. Not good news for those waiting on 65 I am afraid. Still no stats from 23rd March invites.
  4. I had the exact same situation and you have nothing to worry about. I requested my full certificate from GRO and it did not have my birth fathers name, I don't actually know who my birth father is. I submitted this without any additional details and was not questioned about it. Any references to father I will have put my step dads details, however I would refer to him as my father in 99.9% of instances and this caused no issues here.
  5. Perfect! Sorry if I scared you but that was just my experience, albeit with a different assessing body!
  6. AHPRA I've done! But my partner didn't want to do IELTS for ANMAC so I got the skills assessment as an accountant so can't help with ANMAC specifics. Give your agent a call, you are paying them so don't feel guilty to chase them every now and again.
  7. ANMAC need to assess you qualification and they will only assess your degree, therefore as far as I am aware work experience needs to be post this qualification. I am not an expert here and this is purely my understanding from reading these forums. Your agent will know with certainty what you can put down so do not worry, that is why you are paying them!
  8. Work experience is from qualification, nurses need a degree so it is from when you obtained your degree as far as I am aware. Your migration agent will know this and put the correct years down on your EOI. For me my degree was in accounting, as part of my degree I had a 14 month placement working as a "qualified" accountant basically doing the same tasks as a qualified accountant, but I obviously had not finished my degree. I could not claim this year as work experience for point so I lost 5 points. I found this out before I submitted my EOI.
  9. I am not in your category but for my work experience I provided job descriptions on headed paper and written references from all my old employers (5!). I imagine you agent is saying it will be easier to pass the English exam then getting lots of references from different places.
  10. You need to go on to each states website as they are all different. Each state also has its own jobs list, so accountants will not be needed in every state.
  11. My partner is the nurse, her form had the HEP B and C marked as required, where as mine did not, just make sure you yell them you are a nurse when you book and they will do all the tests.
  12. What I said above was based on my experience, so if it is wrong sorry for giving bad information! I was under the impression that as it was CPA assessing the qualification it had to be finance base, but happy to be wrong if it helps someone else!
  13. Your degree will not help with the CPA assessment as it is not finance/accounting, they will assess what you have done towards CIMA and you do not have a qualification here. The first criteria they list is "a qualification that is assessed by CPA Australia as equivalent to at least an Australian Bachelor degree", you have not finished the CIMA qualification and part qualification would not be seen as degree level. I am also afraid that work experience is post qualification only and I lost points here, I was working as a fully qualified accountant (in terms of responsibilities) however as I had not finished my qualification I was not allowed to claim points for this.
  14. To get a positive skills assessment your qualification needs to be of a similar level to an Australian degree, part qualified CIMA is not degree level I am afraid. Even if it did, you are not going to look great to employers over in Australia with no work experience (post qualification) and an incomplete qualification which will not be recognised everywhere.
  15. If you look on the Skill Select website it lists the details for every round, this is usually updated a few weeks after the invite.
  16. What is the MBA in and which came first, ACCA or the MBA? Work experience is assessed as post qualification, so if you want points for work experience which one you have assessed will play an important part. I had my normal degree assessed as it was in accounting, this enabled me to claim all years post degree as work experience, rather than CIMA which I only finished last year (took a while for me to get around to log book). I am not sure if there are any differences but I used CPA simply because CIMA has an MRA with them, so I now also have the CPA qualification as well as my skills assessment. Finance Manager is not on the SOL so picking this would limit your options in that you would need a sponsored visa.
  17. With 70 points you would get an invite very quickly as an accountant (based on current invites). Your partner needs a skills assessment for you to claim partner points, so if you can get the 70 points from English I would skip this and go purely on your skills. I could have got 5 points for my partners skills but didn't as it was more paperwork and money and I did not need the points. Like you I was the main applicant due to English requirements with skills assessment.
  18. With just 60 points your chances of a 189 are basically very slim, it has been a year since the last person was invited with 60 points so there is a big back log in front of you. As to the 190 someone else will be able to clarify but I think you can not really predict them, however they still go off points and English ability, so again you will be low down in the queue. There is also the issue that accountants may come off the list at the end of June, this has been talked about for a few years but not happened yet, although they have reduced the number let in greatly. Accountants all fall in to the same category so changing skills assessment will not help with a 189 visa, and you would have the same issues with the 190 in that you are low on points.
  19. I am not over there yet but from what I have read although we are on the SOL job list there is not a surplus of jobs and a lot of people get pushed back on no Australian experience, so having CPA helps you a little when your CV is being screened as it is a recognised qualification. How true this is I do not know, just what I have read. I have therefore used the MRA and now have the CPA certificate as well as my CIMA certificate, you can also claim tax allowance on it whilst still in the UK so they have adjusted my tax code.
  20. You need to prove you have a basic level of English and an English passport will do this, however to claim points you need to sit IELTs or PTE-A regardless of passport. I had to sit it a few times to get maximum marks!
  21. I would suggest speaking with a migration agent at this point. You need to be over there so you need solid advise, we can all provide our experiences on here but it is not based on exact knowledge of the rules, therefore a migration agent is best placed to help you. Even if you just do the initial consultation they can tell you your options and you can then go and pursue them yourself.
  22. I think I got my invite around 12:30 pm UK time, obviously the day before the one stated on the DIBP website due to time differences. Edit, if I look at my email, it states it was sent 2:04am Sydney time.
  23. Yes with 65 points you are more or less guaranteed your invite around lunch on 8th (UK time).
  24. When you submit all of the required documents for AHPRA you will receive a letter of eligibility, this actually gives you 90 days to present yourself at an AHPRA office, however it states you can ask for an extension to 1 year which is what most people do. You are able to get your PIN straight away and avoid a trip to AHPRA if you have a visa active in your passport and can meet all the ID requirements (a visa is one of them). Separate to AHPRA Once you get your visa you will also have a year or less to enter Australia to validate it, this goes off the visa grant date + 1 year or the date of your medical or police checks, which ever is soonest. Also not to put you off but it is only going to get more stressful! AHPRA have no common sense and are very picky, basically do everything exactly as they ask (and sometimes they don't ask clearly) or they will most likely not accept it.
  25. I struggled to get over 7.5 in the writing in 2 IELTS sittings, I needed 8s for the points on the visa however the skills assessment only needs 7. I then sat PTE-A and got more or less maximum marks, however I am not sure if PTE-A can be used for ANMAC, DIBP accept it for the visa itself though.
