  1. Hi alex, By having brits passport prove that you have functional english and mnot compulsory to take ielts to prove your english capability. But if you need additional points, you may want to take ielts for that ourpose. God bless.
  2. I also never been to nt. But i did apply for nt ss. So what i know is also basically what i read from the websites. Its a tropical city. Very nice in dry season but can be challenging during the wet. Darwin population only around 200k .
  3. Hi richard, if you can appply for PR now, better apply now rather than waiting for another year. We never know if there will be any immigration rule changes in the next year. Though nursing is highly in demand, but we never know right...
  4. Have you had any news by now? I believe you have been allocated a CO. But sometimes they don't want to send an email unless some documents are still required or further information needed.

Never read explicitly abt this in immi website. It only say that you can only nominate 1 occupation.. And based on what i read in the forum, its not advisable since dibp will certainly catch thatt...
  7. Hi stella, The most important information are all listed inimmi.gov.au. You can find the requirement for different visa options including the company sponsored or the independent skilled migration... My suggestion, it is much flexible to go with the GSM, but it all depend on your skill assessment...
  8. First thing first, read the immi.gov.au website.... All the essential information is there...
  9. @minagmaxwell, Congrats mate At least now you can start to plan properly. Anywhere in australia isnice, at least there is more sunshine... God bless...
  10. Hi, Every skill assessment have their expiry date... some is 2 yrs others can be up to 5 years. Depending on what the skill assessed... It's ok to submit old assessment as long as it is still within the validity date of the result...(not expired) .
  11. Cant really answer ALL the questions. But when it comes to rejection, there is no difference between visa types as long as you satisfy their requirements and criteria. About the educational qualification, i think you need to do more research on the assessing body on their exact requirement....
  12. I dont see why you shouldnt give a try. As long as your points could suffice. Anyway, nt doesnt charge any fee to obtain their sponsorship...
  13. @minagmaxwell I read from the forum and it happens to some people. Migration agents even print screen documents uploaded to prove they have uploaded the documents, in case of future disputes..
  14. Well, it's obvious that you cannot apply for 189 or 190 with that timeframe. Might as well go ahead with what you have in hand. For regular 189 GSM doesn't require you to currently work in your nominated occupation. Just to have enough points from various criteria (age, ielts, education, work experience) If you go for 190, working experience requirement varies between states. Hope it helps QUOTE=ssarmast;1936442983]Hi Folks, I needed some advice from the gurus out there. I am on a student visa have just got my IELTS results with 8.5 average no score being less than 8. Now I need to apply for my 190. However, the skill asssement body is going to take 10 weeks to assess my application and my visa runs out in exactly 3.5 weeks. I do have a sponsor for a 457 but i am not too keen on going for that as this is not related to my study in Australia but is related to what I had studied back home in India. Now my question is whats my best option considering my time frame. If i file for a 457 and get the visa too can I file for a 190 once I have recieved my 457. Will I need to work for a certian time frame withmy employer and then file for my 190. Could anyone share with me whats the best way to go considering my limited time frame. Looking forward for your valuable inputs. Regards Salman
