  1. Hi, My friend told me about this forum and that it might be able to help me. I have been in oz for the past 8 months and am currently coming to the end of my six months with one employer. I have been applying for jobs in my field. My experience: I have 9 years experience in retail banking in Ireland. I have a degree in business A professional diploma it Digital Marketing and a PRINCE2 in Project Management I have been looking into skillselect and other ways to try to stay in this country that I have fallen in love with. If any one out there has gone through something similar and had success I would love to hear about it and try to apply it to my situation. Thanks John
  2. Hello, i am new to this web, but it looks very informative, hopefully i can get help from you all. thank you in advance. my situation is i have done both bachelor of business management and master of fashion and textiles degrees in Australia (2012). i am 26 years old, i am working for current company as a marketing assistant over half year. my visa (485) is expired in November 2014. now i want my company sponsor me. my company is a multinational sized company, we have over 50 employees here. my title is marketing assistant however on the list, the closest one i can find is marketing specialist. i am not sure if it is ok to apply. could someone please advise me where should i start?? should i get a immigration lawyer to help me? from the company side, what materials need to be prepared for immigration office?? how much the cost would be?? if the company is not willing to pay, shall i pay by myself?? will that cause legal problems? my current salary doesn't meet market rate in Australia. is there any good immigration lawyer you recommend in Melbourne Australia?? much appreciate your help. stella

    Looking for sponsorship

Hi, My husband and I( with our daughter) have been trying to move to Oz for the last year or so but unfortunately it is so difficult since he is 45 years old and cannot get a visa he has to be sponsored, He is a fantastic Carpenter he is always on the ball, we had a company also and he has 25 years experience but he hasn't been in work for over 2 years here. We would like to know if anyone has an idea if it would be too hard to get a 457 visa over his age or because he is a carpenter? also if anyone has a near estimate of how much would be need to get over please let me know. Greatly appreciated Kirsty.

  6. Hello Australia, I am an adaptable spa professional who has just moved to Australia and is looking for sponsorship anywhere in Australia. I have experience in product development, business development, sales and spa management (from concept to launch). I have also owned my own spa product range which was sold in the UK and Ireland. In addition I am HR and training qualified and have over 8 years experience in both operational and senior roles. Please get in touch with me if you have any roles in the spa/well-being industry or if there is any helpful advice to be obtained. Many thanks in advance. I look forward to hearing from you. Kindest regards Oliver Beck
  7. :ssign16: Hi all, im new to this forum Can anyone give me advice on my problem. I am from the Dominican Republic and my fiance is Australian. We wish to apply for the prospective marriage visa and marry eventually when I get to Oz. However, I think we may have an issue with sponsorship since he previously sponsored a relative who overstayed their visa for quite some time. Will this be a problem for him now when he sponsors me?
  8. Hi Guys, I just wanted some opinions on my plan... I have already had my 2 years working holiday visa's for australia, i was due to get sponsored which fell through due to salary. I am going to new Zealand pretty soon, although i'm really looking forward to it, i have a motive to try and find work in australia from new zealand (on a sponsorship) - i have a few contacts in OZ from my time there which im still in contact with, although obviously cannot rely on that. Do you think it's unrealistic to apply for jobs in Auatralia (syd, melb or perth) from New Zealand - i'd obv fly over for interviews and agencies regestration etc, i have lots of friends in australia so will be visiting friends at same time. I also realise the return flights are not cheap. I would be working in Banking by the way. Or would it be more realistic to be integrated and sponsored into a role in NZ and try and get a transfer eventually (assuming im at at big company) Any opinions would be appreciated - just hard to find similar kind of situations online anywhere. thanks
  9. Hi, I've been hunting high and low for a sponsorship and came across the above company. They are looking for AU$11 a mth to view sponsored jobs. Has anyone registered with them? Many thanks, Sarah
