Granted today! in summary, Application lodged: 14 dec CO assigned: 15 Feb Additonal docs sent: 16 Feb Visa granted: 21 Feb Flight to australia booked!

hi jaime, i've applied for nsw. and i'm an offshore applicant. as of now i think 189 is still their top priority. 190 follows second. but i honestly didnt expect to wait 2 months for the CO to make an appearance.

Hi Tigerfeet, I put in the form 80 in my application just in case. Since everyone was talking about it. However, it might just be ok to wait for your CO to be assigned and then he/she will tell you what missing documents you need to furnish. Likewise for the 1221. If you are feeling lazy about those forms just hang on till and if you are asked for it by the CO. For the rest of the december lodgers, COs are being slowly but surely assigned in the past few days. Just got my CO a couple of days ago. I had submitted my application on the 14th Dec so it has been a rather painful 2-month long wait. Fingers crossed now!

My Vetassess application had apparently got lost in their office somewhere. After 8 weeks of waiting, i figured i've run out of patience in any form and called them. Thankfully the pack i sent them had a tracking number. and they figured they had received it. But where it was, was beyond them. Naturally i lost it. I told them that they need to get back to me within the next day so that i can decide what i need to do about this situation. On the dot, the very next day, they miraculously found my package and processed my application within that month. All in all, vertassess was the BIGGEST delay of my entire PR process. Wasn't too pleased...

At present, i'm thinking it has to be on the train line. I understand my question might have been too general but i'm really trying to suss out a good location which is safe. I'm a single female and i'm moving alone and i really don't want to end up in a dodgy part of the hood while i'm trying to grapple with a new city. I've been hearing good things about Newtown. Anyone cares to shed some light on that?

Hi, I'll be moving to Sydney towards the end of the year and i'm trying to narrow down suburbs that won't burn a hole in my wallet while being safe. If anyone can shed some ideas it'll be a great start.

I just wanted to update my status while i'm here. I lodged my 190 on dec 14 and finally after a two month long wait, i've got my CO. All she needed from me was a colour scanned image of my passport and i'm apparently good to go. Any day now....fingers crossed!

When you CO was allocated, he/she, in the email, would have left a phone contact. You might want to give them a friendly call and figure out what's the story.

Officially been 2 months since I lodged my 190. All my paperwork has been uploaded and seems like they have "received" it on the website. This waiting game is really getting painful. Anyone else lodged after the 14th dec 2013 and heard anything about a CO?
