Hi All, Finally after long agonising wait. Today we've got our 489 visa approved. I rang my CO and enquire about our status as July has come. And within 30 minutes, the case is finalised. The lady was very helpful and courteous. May you all get a speedy grant.

I dont think you are allowed to do that. And they can detect it if you do. ?..

Most grants have been from adelaide them, at least what i see on several forums. even the march applicants have got their grant from adelaide. Any January apps from brisbane team besides myself?

489 FS is family spknsored I assume? I think the number of invitation issued for family spons is only 30 every month. Better to try to apply for state sponsorship if you can..... it's an immediate invite when the state agrres to sponsor you (in my case at least) The processing time normally is 3- 4 mth. But due to the quota, it's around 6 month nowadays

If you havne't been invited, you just update your EOI. I don't think we are allowed to have multiple EOI..

I guess as soon as they find a reason to reject they will do it right away instead of doing the whole checks and process. I think if we have straightforward error, it can get decline letter in 1.5 mths as co allocated. What's the last info from co? Mine said that my app is queueing for finalisation , but most probably after 1 jJuly.

Can't help with the first question But the second one, CPA needs a certified copy, so though I applied online, I still sent the documents by post.. You can still track your application online though you applied by paper. You will be gven an id by which you can access your case. Indeed they took ages to reply email.

I think you can still claim not relevant though your skill assessment allows you to claim points... I also didn't claim for points by ticking not relevant

Except for WA, they have different procedure....So you choose which state you want to apply to, but it's up to the state whether they will approve your nomination and nominate you...You can go to the following web above and check the procedure....

Hi, I hope someone can share their experience, or if not could you please just bump this thread up... I'm wondering whether it is safe for a 7 year old to travel on the bus by himself. Is it safe, child friendly. I read that darwin council have dedicated school bus. How's your experience with that? Please kindly share
