  1. The thought of no tights fills me with horror, that means I will have to actually shave my legs regularly  I wear black tights everyday to work here and was hoping to get away with skin coloured tights there :frown: like LR said it just feels more professional. Plus (going into way to much detail) I find that a thin pair of tights helps me avoid chub rub (aka chafing) which I always get in warm conditions, damn my fat thighs
  2. Boohoo have got some nice ones in at the moment, also got an offer on today with the next day delivery for £1.
  3. Blimey. At least your legs will be cool
  4. I love her to bits but she cracks me up with bisto gravy. Its not just her though, her mates are as bad. Don't ever start a debate about the cost of Bisto in an Iceland in Spain, you will be lucky to get out alive  I brought some Spanish gravy and printed out "El Bistero" labels for it once just to try and joke her out of the habit, it did not go down well
  5. Maxi dresses are the best invention ever. Stacey, Matalan had some lovely ones with adjustable straps, which just about made them the right length for me (a fellow shorty). Might be worth a look while they have their sale on. How about some three quarter linen trousers too? ps that website has some beautiful dresses
  6. I agree with this 100%, my parents live in Spain yet my mom has never really settled there. A big part of it is she is always taking bits and bobs back over (granted its an easier thing to do with Spain/UK) and that leads to her constantly comparing prices and missing her old life ect. 9/10 she now shops in Iceland as one has opened near by, she will pay twice the price for something just because she likes that brand. Then she gets angry that Spain is more expensive (never mind that its an imported item?!) and if they lived in the UK they would be saving a fortune on all that Bisto gravy, its a never ending loop. In a way the new Iceland has made her even more home sick, I wouldn't mind but she didnt even shop in Iceland when she lived in the UK :laugh: Its made me realise that when we move to Aus, we must (and want to) start as we mean to go on. So no stocking up on the favourites for me. Though I must admit I am tempted to stock up on toilet rolls while they are on offer at Costco
  7. I love this time of year as the dark nights start drawing in and the smell of my neighbours log burner as it fires up. The count down to halloween, bonfire night and Christmas. I love autumn. oooh sorry I just noticed this is in the moving back to the uk forum, so maybe not 100% relevant for me as a thread, but I do love Autumn in the UK :cute:
  8. I have acrylics, inital set of tips and overlay is £25 and then infills every 3 weeks at £18. I usually just have french, and they airspray them so its a really quick high quality finish then a touch of nail art (a few crystals ect) for a change. There is no pampering its all about speed and quality, which suits me  my nail tech does offer other things like waxing but I haven't tried it. All the girls in my office get shellac and pay £35 a time, but they enjoy the pampering and the fancy hand massage they get (and the fancy biscuits lol).. So its one extreme to the other which is no help at all for you  I do know though that both salons are packed constantly, so I don't think you can go wrong either way really :wubclub: We get loads of girls advertising as mobile techs on the local FB buying and selling page and they never appear to get any interest, but I guess it depends on your local market.
