  1. Thanks VS :wubclub: thats good to know :cute: We land at that time, so guess I need to allow an hour to get cases and through customs. Hertz website says its open to 1:30am, but I imagine we can not be the only people on our flight who need to hire a car, so I am trying not to stress too much. Will drop Hertz an email during the week to see what they say :cute:
  2. Thanks rob dc and kayinperth :wubclub: I will check both of these options out :cute:

  6. Hey, So as I am sure you all know (as i talk about it none stop) is we are coming to Perth in September :jiggy: I am trying to figure out transport. We are going to hire a car but we land at stupid o'clock so the car hire places are not open (according to online), from what I can find anyway. We are going to have to book in a hotel for that night as our apartment wont check us in at that time. I don't like the look or price of the hotels near the airport, there is nothing on site anyway, so I am thinking of booking the Ambassador Hotel on Adelaide Terrace as its near our apartment (not walkable though, but close for a cheap taxi i hope) and Perth Airport offers that shuttle bus ($15) each. Does that sound like a good plan? Has anyone used the shuttle? Part of me wants to book a taxi as I will not be in the mood at stupid o'clock, but I guess a taxi will cost a bomb at stupid o'clock :twitcy: Next step would be to find car hire in the city centre then, does that cost more than airport hire? I have looked and am looking on the internet, but as ever my lovely Poms advise would be appreciated :wubclub:
  7. I though I was your whole dependence  Are you having a PIO affair?

  15. We had to provide proof of relationship even though we have been together 4 years and married 8 months. We provided: Marriage Certificate (provided in initial application) Mortgage Statement for last 12 months. Council Tax for last 12 months. Utility bills for 12 months. Joint bank statement. Proof of holidays together from last 4 years. Photos from last 4 years. Stat Dec from both of us. Our agent was really surprised that we got requested to provide additional info, I guess it was because we were married less than 12 months at point of application. So I imagine that you really need to be living together for 12 months first... Hope that helps..

  23. Hi and welcome to the forum :wubclub: What is your occupation? The first thing to check is if your occupation is on either of the occupation lists and then work from there. There are a few very good agents on here as well as a lot of knowledgeable people, I am sure someone will be able to give you a more detailed answer/guide. Good luck with the plans :cute:
  24. Hey, Could anyone advise of some good locations to stay in in Perth during our reccie please? I am looking on airbnb, as we want to keep costs down. That factor seems to rule out any city centre accomodation, so I have been looking at suburbs, and boy are they are spread far and wide :twitcy: We ideally want to be able to use public transport, so good links, and all the usual spiel. I have found two that look ok, one in Rossmoyne (cheap) and one in North Perth by the Alexander Park tennis club (more expensive). The latter of the two feels the better choice, it looks closer on the map :twitcy: But I am trying to figure out if the additional cost is worth it, if the other has good transport links.... I have also found one in Victoria Park which looks ok... Are any of these any good, or am I way off? Help..... :wubclub: Xx
