  1. Thought I'd bring this post back up to the top... Any updates from the January lodged gang? I imagine there are a few of you just 'waiting' for a decision from CO? From me: Just waiting for Thai PCC's to arrive (ETA 13th March) - Our CO has been updating status to 'received' for any other additional docs uploaded within 1 day. Hopefully after Thai PCC we will have grant very quick after. Where are the rest you at??
  2. Congrats Ebrahim - You did have a CO - you can't get a visa without one I said you'd be fine... All the best as an Australian PR matey!!!
  3. Congratulations Shazza....all the best in Oz!!!
  4. Hi all, I was asked to provide further proof of my claimed 3 years work experience. I had only provided statement of employments previously. I have now uploaded 2 years of payslips from UK along with the two P60's (2 Years covered) Also, I have uploaded my 18 months worth of payslips from Thailand ( 1.5 years covered) - I have no taxation documents to provide from this employer I was also asked to include bank statements showing money deposited into my account. My questions is this: Do I need to print out three years worth of statements from UK and Thailand or would the payslips and P60's suffice? I really don't want to get cut short - but at the same time - working through 40+ statements and highlighting payments is something I would rather not do if it really is not needed (due to payslips etc being submitted already) Thanks for any advice
  5. Hi Vandeux Meds were fine - They had them all uploaded after 2 days. X-Ray, Eye Sight test, Bloods, Prodding and poking done and then told to go home. Cost 67 pound for the medical from Bangkok Nursing Home (which is actually a hospital) You had your arranged for this half term too, didn't you? We have another 2 weeks (approx) for Thai PCC's to arrive so I think, if you've had your meds now - you may be getting your grant before us I'm planning on emailing my CO directly with those attachments too, just to make a point and hope for a quick response on her end.... It so bloody tense waiting, right?
  6. If your document status is changing to 'received' - you already have a CO - if you front loaded all docs, you are just waiting for a decision on a grant. If you're that worried, just call them and ask for status update.
  7. This question is asked, at least, weekly. As above, wait for CO, or front load, your choice. Just bear in mind, your entry date is determined by the dates on you PCC and Meds - I am sure someone can clarify this point.
  8. Seeing as we are on the topic of registering with individual state's teaching boards - any chance someone can help me with the SA TRB? I wanted to get ahead and register before I arrive in Oz. However, it would appear that I would need to attend mandatory, one day child protection course. This course, it would seem, needs to be attended by registered institution, in Oz. Does this mean I have no choice but to wait? OR As most states have a 'mutual agreement' (as stated on SA, ACT,NT,QLD TRB sites) on transferring teaching licenses - could I say, register in QLD, but then just transfer the license over? Or, would this still require the one day mandatory child protection training. Any knowledge welcome please...Thanks in advance
  9. All my coloured scans of originals were accepted by CO. Did not need certifying.
  10. Congratulations, really pleased for you. Australia has its newest permanent resident.
  11. We are both from the UK and our Case Officer specifically asked for them
  12. I was specifically asked to have Form 80 for both of us - Main and secondary applicant
  13. up to 7 weeks is what is stated on the immi site for CO allocation times. However, they do have a disclaimer saying that during busy periods/holidays etc this can be longer
  14. Tiger stripes, I am claiming this for the 3 years experience, yes. I am a little annoyed that the statement of employment and AITSL letter wasn't enough...but, oh well
  15. As with you, please update when you get a CO. I was emailed and told Form 80 was must for 189 - just quoting from what the email said. I only uploaded my statements of employment and AITSL skilled employment statement, but did realise they would probably ask for payslips, P60's etc. I have asked my previous employer for P60's and have also printed out 3 years worth of bank statements to prove earnings. That Form 80 was a real HOG! I have 6 sisters and so completing this for each one took a loooong time. Yes, holidays are a ball ache to. Thank god for Facebook and categorised albums with dates Good luck with it all
  16. Such great news cherrygn. Hopefully be joining you soon!! Congratulations!
  17. My CO has asked for EITHER - Taxation to prove earnings Payslips Bank Statements (I emailed to ask whether on-line was acceptable - answer was yes)
  18. Hi teachingcouple, I have a feeling I know who you might be If you attended Anglia Ruskin University, PM me and I will add you on Facebook if you'd like - I can offer as much help as I can... As mentioned above, you only need to 'activate' your visa and then you have your 5 year window - if you happened to have renewed your contract in Egypt - that's fine - take a holiday to start - see out your contract and emigrate later. Time is always of the essence when requiring our profession to be on the SOL If you didn't attend ARU - then it is just coincidence - My surname is 'Royall' by the way if that means anything
  19. Congratulations and all the best!!
  20. I imagine you should get one assigned this week now, for sure
  21. I had statements of employment to cover last 5 years. However, they also want the additional proof for this.
  22. Okay, so just copying and pasting this in from previous paste to keep you all updated and let you know how close you should all be, especially 'Vandeux' Just been appointed a CO. They have requested the following info from me - Medicals - Form 80 (This is now a MUST apparently) - PCC from Thailand - Further proof of my overseas employment ( Bank Statements / Pay Slips or Taxation Docs) to cover at least a THREE year period Seeing as Meds are booked for next week and Thai PCC is being ordered then too - should be looking for a grant in a month or two...yay!!
