  1. Any GSM application is with an Adelaide team I think. Just looking at the timelines over the last few months - It is clear that 'most' have to wait a few weeks for grant, after all docs are uploaded. I'm not too worried about the waiting - as long as I get a grant by July, I'm happy (this is when we are planning to fly out)
  2. It is rather odd how some get there applications completed so quickly after Meds and others have to wait so long. I know some medicals are referred, but I was under the impression that your CO would inform of this?? Perhaps not...
  3. Congrats Kooky, really pleased for you. All the best!!! It must have been nice not having to wait too long??
  4. No news today..... There is always tomorrow... I too keep logging onto the immi account hoping it has been updated but just no email sent. I imagine these things are all automated and the email would arrive very soon after immi updated. good luck for tomorrow Kellie
  5. No news today. The last updated part was the 'received' status on Thai PCC's, dated 13/3/2014. Fortunately, I am going to be very busy at school over the next few weeks so if it does take that long - it should go quickly. Would be nice to hear before the break... I'm in that same mindset...what if something is wrong? arrrgh the waiting....
  6. Congratulations and all the best for your future as PR's in Oz....Hope to be joining the rest of the gang soon
  7. Is it just me and Kellie left from the Jan Gang??? On my partner's application it says Form 80 'Received' 16/02/14 but then ALSO has her Form 80 as 'Requested' on 14/02/14. A little odd but clearly received at some point. My concern is that it may appear on her system as application still awaiting a document. I did email to say we have now uploaded everything though. Any ideas?
  8. Damn you Vandeux and Tina.... "grumpy and envious face". CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! So pleased for you both - we have been on this road together for a couple of months - so glad to see you reach the end goal. I think..........you owe me several pints now? Just for beating me I mean I'll give you a shout when we visit Brisbane.....If we get to Oz, that is :0
  9. Well, have a great day tomorrow, regardless of the waiting - we will be joining them soon enough...
  10. Noooo it won't happen - I will win It is my birthday tomorrow so hopefully my CO will have a present for me when I awake!!!
  11. Congratulations to the both of you!!!! SO pleased for you.... All the best guys with your new lives down under. Hope to be joining you very soon. Got our Thai PCC's today - uploaded and emailed CO to confirm all docs now uploaded - now....the waiting game with the others
  12. Vandeux - Always a day ahead!! Let's see if it's consistent
  13. tick tock tick tock......Our Thai pcc's are being sent today (called them). By Wednesday we will be in the same shoes as you guys...waiting for CO decision!!
  14. You will be able to arrange medicals with a panel physician in Egypt for you and your partner. Police checks will need to be obtained from the UK and Egypt for you - Sweden, UK and Egypt for your partner. As mentioned by lebourvellec - The pcc's and Medicals are what determines your 'must enter Australia' date to activate the PR visas. You could just do this in your summer hols and then go back to Egypt to finish off your contract, if you so wished What I mean is, don't go ahead and start arranging you meds and pcc's now when you haven't put in an application yet. ALSO your HAP ID is only issued to you when you have 'paid' for the application.
  15. I'm also with team 8 - Although, they are waiting on me.....We should all be hearing something next week? I get my Thai PCC on Wednesday - it could happen....next wek the week for Vandeux too???
  16. PCC's and Medicals can be done before CO is assigned, but just remember, It is from the earliest date on which these are done that determines your entry to Australia. Meds done on 01/01/2014 = 01/01/2015 latest entry
  17. Congratulations and all the best as a PR in Australia. When/where are you heading over? Or, are you already there?
  18. Will Young? Not sure if that's meant to be an insult or compliment
  19. I am certain you shouldn't be waiting too long now. I really thought we'd stay just one day apart (as with EOI, Lodge and CO appointment) BUT I think you and Vandeux will pip me to the post. Honestly, If you guys are around SA at any point in the future, get in contact!!
  20. Hey jagsforoz, Hope all goes well, and yes, the waiting is horrible. I am, everyday, desperately wanting to call the Thai police department to check up on my certificates. Our medicals were uploaded on 20th Feb and then said 'received' on 28th Feb. I am pretty sure m whole future now depends on Thailand's police force..... Not sure how I fell about that
  21. I certainly had most documents scanned in ready to go when I lodged, yes. I was just waiting to do the Medicals and PCC's after lodging as it is the date on these documents that dictate when you must arrive in Australia. In hindsight, as I am keen to go in July this year, I could have arranged all said times and front loaded them
  22. Vandeux - Let the waiting game begin for you guys! You shouldn't have to wait too long now...fingers crossed for you Kellie23 - Good luck for the medicals which, I am sure it will be fine - Your daughters hearing impairment should not affect your application, as it is not exaclty going to cost the county huge costs in medical support etc. jgroot - Glad it's all gone so smooth for you - let's hope you receive te good news soon Chriscasse - You CAN NOT place an EOI without skills assessment and EOI as it requires the reference numbers from both. That is why we organise all of this before.
