Hi I am a practice nurse here in Perth so do the finger prick INR 's all the time, yes she can have them done just go to your GP register her make an appointment to see GP she will probably pay a standard consult fee and wouldn't get a Medicare rebate though , as would not be considered urgent care ,then the nurse will do the test and the GP will give the warfarin dose , hope that helps
  2. I had to do a computerised test based on the drive safe code (similar to highway code) that was some years ago so they may have changed it, not difficult, the main problem will be getting used to the awful driving in Perth, perfectly normal West Australians turn into monsters behind the wheel of a car!!!
  3. You want voluntary class 3 contributions, they send a bill at the end of the financial year, and it goes up each year, also you can only pay with a British cheque so you still need an account there, or have somebody who can pay for you and you transfer money to them. good luck
  4. Hi there if you want to work in the public sector look at http://www.sahealth.sa.gov.au they have a search function for nursing jobs, otherwise look at http://www.seek.com.au for other vacancies like community practice nursing, you can search under various categories good luck

Requirements for pets entering the UK/EU If you are entering the UK (or another EU country) and your journey began outside the EU you must sign a declaration confirming that you do not intend to sell or transfer ownership of your pet. The format of this declaration is outlined in Part 3 of Annex IV to Regulation 577/2013.. If you are not able to accompany your pet then you (or a person you have authorised in writing) must travel within 5 days of your pet’s movement. This rule applies both to travel within the EU and for movements from outside the EU. 6. 12. Yes unfortunately the rule was introduced to stop British citizens who originated from mainly the Indian subcontinent and Africa , Middle East ,bringing wives from those countries, there were also concerns re young women from those countries almost being forced to go th the UK to marry. Of course the government could not openly just target those groups as it would be seen as gross discrimination so hey ho everyone was included unfortunately , I understand this ruling may change or be modified with a change of govt
  13. All customs fees have to be included in the total transport cost when clearing pets into the UK it is a Defra requirement , other countries do have different arrangements
  14. I understand you do get extra points for the IELTS but it has to be at the highest level which is 8 , would recommend doing some practice tests as many people do struggle to get the higher level without practice, even if you have spoken English all your life also the immigration web site has an area where you can assess if you would have enough points for migration, good luck
  15. Sounds like you have a good life, it wouldn't necessarily be better here, but like so many of us who make the move you don't know until you try , my kids got straight back to the UK at the first opportunity and have done well , so if they get a decent education they will do well in either country I suspect, things are changing here the job market is certainly not as good as it was, and looks to decline further so who knows, good luck
