  3. Hi bob , And thanks for the quick reply .... we moved back to the uk july last yr and we still have the crates that jetpets provided but not sure if another company would use them .... all 6 of them had there rabies jabs march 2014 but from what i have read they will have to have the blood work done to make sure they still have enough of it in there blood is that so ????
  4. Hi i was just wondering if anyone has any quotes for shipping there animals .... we have 3 dogs and 3 cats so know its going to be expensive just waiting on our first quote but would love to hear from anyone regarding how much they have paid and who they have used ...... thanks in advance
  5. Thanks Melza , the reason we left the uk in the first place was to just give it a go and see you never know till you do ... and we loved it the thought of coming home never crossed our minds ...then after being there 5 1/2 yrs i got cancer a yr of treatment then 2 yrs of me feeling homesick hence the move back to the uk .... but i have said to hubby i really thought that after what we had been threw i had given it enough time to know that it wasn't a whim , i had given it 2 yrs but i really do wonder because people i have met threw the treatment had said to me that it can take anything from 2 to 5 yrs before you feel like yourself ........ because i must admit i am nearly 3 yrs out of treatment and i now am feeling more like me ....xxx And me more than anyone really really doesnt want to be a ping pong lol ...... xxxxxx
  6. Hi all , well we have been back in the uk 6mths( hubby still doing fifo from darwin ) ........ And at first i was fine but now ....i want to go back to Aus and i never thought i would say that to be honest .... but we moved from perth to darwin to be with hubby to see if that helped which it did but i honestly think if we had stayed in perth we wouldnt have come back , life just seemed so much easier in perth and it is true what people say people well friends do move on they have got use to life without unless i contact them i dont really hear from them and it isnt for not trying .... family well they are brill but this is so strange to say but i am feeling like i just dont belong i am so confused and torn my poor kids dont know if they are coming or going ............hubby never wanted to come back to the uk anyway but at least he was willing because he knew what it meant to me and i know i have been so lucky with him he is just the best ...... he would be made up for us all to go back to aus , and we never sold our house we rent it out so that a plus if we did go back at least ....... Sorry guys i know i have gone on abit lol but cant really talk to anyone here because as you can imagine everyone is like o no you are not going back which doesnt help ..... my 13yr old said to me "mum lets just go back to perth for a holiday to see what we all think " i often wonder to myself that she has more sense than me  .... well thats about it for now , i was just wondering if anyone else has been like this ????
  7. good for you  so glad to hear that things are coming together for you .... so what is the business venture that you are doing ??? xxxx
  8. I know this has probably been asked over n over so sorry in advance ...... But does anyone know if there is anyway you can move your aus super to an english pension my hubby has quite abit in his and he is only 46 and we are moving back in july ...i know people have said that you cant touch it till you are 60 or is it 65 .... so i worry that that is a long time without any money going in to it and will it be worth anything by the time he is that age ..... so just wondered if you can move it ???? any advice would be great ... thanks xxxx
  9. Love this post because i 2 this morning was having a hmmmmmm moment of are we doing the right thing some reasons the same but some not ....... i myself am 44 in august and hubby is 46 , kids are 19,16,and 13 .... My Hmmmm moment is when i think of starting again we are lucky that when we go back we are going to stay with my parents for a while till we have good funds behind us ... i know i know it will be hard but hopefully worth while , as hubby is staying on here and doing fifo for 11 mths ....gives us time to get money together but by then he will be 47 and i wonder who will give us a mortgage ?????? Hoping that we can get a 15 yr one so thats a plus because if we stay here we still have 28 yrs on the house here .... which by the way we will sell later so hopefully will make money on that.... But like you Aunt Agatha we have loved living here but after my cancer it just makes you realise what is important , we have loved our life here but now just want to be around family .... doesnt stop me worrying though Hmmmmmmmm !!:cute:
  10. Once that pull gets nothing can stop it .... i have learnt that the hard way i tried for 2 yrs to ignore it but one of my very good friends had all ready gone through it ( she was back in the uk ) and she said to me when it starts nothing makes it go away until you have made the choice ????? We have been here 8 yrs .... we go back end of july and like you its the family pull (like most of us) ..... a few times i have said to hubby are we doing the right thing but it only because of the weather and family get togethers are worth alot more than the weather .... thats what i think anyway ..... And my kids are 19 , 16 , 13 ...... but they can not wait .... Good luck with whatever you decide xxxx
