1.

Hi cant seem to find your pm. Sorry to hear you've had a bad move, hope you're settling now. We're moving from Scotland in 2 weeks and interested to know who the company were?

2. Hey Jake, I know the feeling! I think it's a natural and healthy process to go through, worse case scenario is that it doesn't work out and you come home. Better than living with the regret of not trying for the rest of your life! In any case it will be a huge and exciting adventure for you and your family, so stay positive and enjoy! Good luck!
3. Hi Rebekah, it depends where you are from - if you are from uk and can provide evidenced of being taught and assessed in English for five years that would be sufficient. You can do this by providing a letter from your school stating this. It also depends which visa you will be going on and whether you will require skills assessment as you do need IELTS for that. I think if you do APHRA first you can then do a modified skills assessment but I believe IELTS is still an element of that, can't say for sure as I did skills first for a PR visa. Mandy
4. Haha, after years of planning it sure creeps up on you eh! 5 weeks yesterday for us. Good luck!
5. Thanks Tanith, that's a great help. Have you made the move / got a job? X
6. Hi, I'm in the process of putting together my application also so can't help much. In regards to the letter from school, this has been my easiest task so far - just called up school office told them what I needed, they typed up a letter saying I was taught and assessed in English and and years I attended, it was then signed by a teacher who knew me. I picked it up a few days later. May be worth just getting one anyway, better too much info than too little I reckon. Good luck
7. Wow, your story brought a tear to my eye! Congratulations to you all, your daughter is absolutely gorgeous! :cute:
8. Good to here! Is it right enough you have to pay to apply? Also what info did you have to provide? Hope all continues well for you
9. It's good to know there are some decent festivals out there too as thats something I'm going to miss of home!
10. What a lovely offer, so cool of you! Unfortunately we don't arrive in Perth until May or I'd have given you a list as long as my arm of why I'd like to come with you! Enjoy
11. Hi there, congrats on getting your registrations, must take a weight off! Can any of you who have your regs advise on what to submit for CPD - I'm a bit confused as NMBA site suggests a statutory declaration is sufficient but it seems most people send evidence aswell? If anyone could clarify I'd be very grateful. Thankyou, and good luck to all applying
12. Hi David, I am uk trained RGN with 5 years post registration experience. My main positions have been General / Colo-rectal Surgery and currently Acute assessment Unit (emergency care directorate). I have PR visa and moving to Perth in May. I am just about to submit my application for registration. Do you have any opportunities suitable in Perth? Thanks, Amanda
13. Hi Robswife, What did you send originally? I was thinking of sending a statuatory declaration but not sure if that would be sufficient?? Mandy
14. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has been successful in gaining their NMBA Nurses registration by submitting only a statuatory declaration to say that they've completed 20 hours CPD? I have read a lot of posts by nurses saying they've submitted quite detailed evidence to back it up, but I'm not sure if this is necessary after reading the FAQs page on the NMBA website. See Q.11: http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/documents/default.aspx?record=WD10%2F123&dbid=AP&chksum=%2BLKwi5LxlcRx%2Bsyaf3LHag%3D%3D Don't want to waste any time as will be arriving in Perth in around 3 months time and will need to start working ASAP or we'll be screwed! Any feedback from those who have their registrations hugely appreciated! Thanks, Mandy x
15. Pretty sure I could claim points for having a uk passport but could claim a bit more for having my IELTs. I'll double check though, don't want to be talking rubbish! Bearing in mind I have a 176 and not the new pr visa so points allocation might have changed. AHPRA and visa requirements are completely unrelated.
16. Hi, I called a couple of emmigration agents in the beginning who will chat with you and can tell you best route to take. No obligation. You are obviously trying to decide whether you will use an agent or not aswell so no harm in this and you get a bit of free info and advice to begin with. I found visa beuro helpful. I choose not to use an agent as its just myself and husband so everything straight forward enough, and cheaper too - ok if you dont mind a lot of paperwork and have the time to spare. Have a good rummage through the DIAC website too looking at visa options.
17. Hi all. I'm just about to apply too, but am thinking to hold off until April as will probably have to pay another fee in June to renew if I apply just now? only worry is that it looks like it can take ages and we will be arriving in WA in June. Also concerned that if there are any problems with my application it might be more difficult to fix from oz. Does anyone know what the 'registration fee' for WA is as on application form it says 'assessment fee $220' + 'application fee $160' + 'registration fee - blank'. Shoosh - you are required to send certified copies of everything, no originals to be sent. If you print off the application form it gives you guidance notes.
18. Hi Rachall, I sat the IELTs test as was required for skills assessment when I done it. I was then able to claim additional points for English language in my visa application. Because I'm from uk I could claim points for having uk passport so didn't really need the IELTs for the visa. Might be worth just doing it if you need extra points. Not sure if any of that helps! Obviously our situations are a bit different.
19. Hi Ben, We have WA SS - we put down what we thought we'll have after sale of house, savings etc. We were never asked for any proof of these figures however the agreement you sign with them includes that you confirm you'll have said amount to support yourself. That was it. No mention of finances at all with our 176 application either. This was prior to skill select though - Is it the 190 you'd be going for? If so it doesn't mention anything about 25k savings. http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/1119.pdf Hope this helps

You would both be on the same visa. I am a nurse and applied for the 176 as the primary applicant, I had to have my skills assessed etc, my husband is the secondary applicant and didn't need to do much. You can claim points for partner skills if your wife is in a job on the SOL too.
