Barbie replied to a topic in Careers and Vacancies
some people were saying, the title of your top up degree has to contain the word "nursing" otherwise Aphra is not registering. is this true.- 119 replies

Nurses: Anyone found an employer to sponsor 457 recently?
Barbie replied to mogsandrovers's topic in Careers and Vacancies
Hi i am in the same boat as you. i am a Psychiatric nurse and been looking since May... Ahpra LOE is due to Expire march 2015 and am really stressed. Cant go to activate nurse registration so if no job with sponsership will have to let it expire and then start again for PR. Only if i has known. Oh am a diploma nurse just finished top up degree and dont know if that is going to be egough for AHPRA. -
Thank you MrsKelly.. will try WA again. i did send a CV to the London office and they replied saying my CV is too short, they need like 5 detailed pages, even though it was the same CV i sent to AHPRA and its like 6 pages. I just did not get it.

457 visa does it need full AHPRA registration... Help...
Barbie replied to Barbie's topic in Careers and Vacancies
thank you -
Hi MartinH just to answer your question on work with sponsership visa... i am RMN , i hav had my LOE from AHPRA since March 2014 and have been applying for Jobs since May 2014, i have send my CV to over 5O hospitals and agencies and have had 2 interviews which they have not offered or rejected with the post, got references too by will just not make a decision. I belive if the posts are not filled by Australians or people with PR already in Australia then those like me and you at the bottom of the list will get the job offers. Am thinking of Appying for PR now which will cost me an arm and a leg and come March 2015 my LOE will expire and will have to start again with AHPRA. i have a Diploma and i have just completed a top up degree and am terrified to face AHPRA again.

Hello All I have just been ruffled, am on the verge of getting a job at a hospital in Victoria. I have LOE from AHPRA and has to apperer to an AHPRA office. No i have been told that i need full nursing registration to be sponsoredfor 457 visa. I have always thought LOE from AHPRA is good enough for that visa and then i can present to AHPRA offices when i arrive in Australia. Does anyone know how it works or who can clear this for me am getting very confused now. Thank you

where are all the Adelaide nurses jobs?
Barbie replied to mogsandrovers's topic in Careers and Vacancies
I did OET because am not a UK Citizen and will be travelling on a passport from a country not nominated on the application forms which are UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa even though i have a City and Guilds Diploma, in IT, Diploma in Nursing (MH), Currently studying for top up Degree and over 10yrs in UK. So Had to do I OET/ IELTS and i opted for OET. It was pain trying to prove that i was taught in English all my life.- 32 replies

Hi , i have no idea but would be interested to know as well and just to bump your post up. Good luck.

A few agencies have clearly said they have not helped anyone with 457 sponsorship and some have not even replied so i think its a first come first serve kind of thing to be honest.
