  1. Im only curious, but what did you initially upload as part of your work experience?
  2. oh I know! :swoon: I just submitted my PCC feebies check yesterday. Hope it arrives just in time for my November application!
  3. Congrats, SHandGH!! :jiggy:
  4. I'm curious - why do some people get verification calls and not others? Also, why are you getting your qualifications assessed by Vetassess? I thought ACS would do it for you. Thanks for answering and hope things go well
  5. ... and to you too, MummyMann - I really hope we get some good news from you this week ~
  6. aw crap  Maybe in one update you'll receive CO.. But you did receive the ABPF? I betcha they'll ask you for meds and pcc's by the next update since you saw the abpf.
  7. Well.... Maybe this will one day go down in history as, "The big mystery of Keisha and the Visa" Where's Keisha, anyway? :biglaugh: We need her to ring DIAC and ask them directly. It will put an end to the mystery! :biglaugh:
  8. Well, I do believe Keisha may have been assigned. I'm thinking now that June's are over, (the real bottleneck) they are back to pre-June speeds. Before the Junes, they were processing very quickly. Plus it's 1,000 cases a week that are being assigned
  9. wellll, i'm not complaining. According to the spreadsheet, the range is really 20 June - 29 September. I think looking at it that way, it's pretty good. Think about it - they're currently processing 4 months at the moment.
  10. Good question - it may put a lid on the mystery!
  11. I hate to ask what would seem to be a stupid question, so forgive me - but what do you mean by recent? Was it because you provided the same references from your skills assessment and they appeared to be a bit outdated? Unless by recent you mean that the DIAC wants to know you're still at the same job, which doesn't make sense to me considering that they only care about what you were doing at the time you applied not today 5-6 months later after we had submitted the application. Thanks ahead of time for clarifying!
  12. add me! :wubclub: Name: Sol2Oz Destination: Undetermined Date of Visa application: 11 November 2011 Nationality: High/Low Risk: LR Trade/profession: ICT BA Visa type: 175 Online Onshore/offshore: Offshore Pre-14th July 2010 Category (If applicable): Post-14th July 2010 Category (If applicable): Post-1st July 2011 Category: Medicals submitted: N/A Police check submitted: N/A Date CO assigned: Still waiting Date of employment verification (If applicable): N/A Date visa granted: N/A
  13. lol well hurry! can't you look thru your old emails from work? :biglaugh:
  14. Wow, that is very strange. Maybe yours was just one of the random applications that go through checks. Maybe you should email them if there is something they need? If your employer hasn't received a phone call from the DIAC then maybe the CO forgot to update the database.
  15. I'm only curious, but did you submit the statement on letterhead by HR stating the years of work experience, full time/part time status, etc? I think the certified letterhead thing works best. I'm also curious if you work for a large well-known company or a small business. I hear that employees working with large companies are not questioned as much.
  16. Not many. Most of the applications are from June.
  17. Exactly. Believe me, I think everyone is desperate to put the June's to sleep! But I agree with you that the next update will be from June. However, I'm a bit more pessimistic than you are, and I'm giving it June 7! June 15 is way too generous lolol On a positive side, I strongly believe that other CO teams will be moving into the July's starting the end of next week.
  18. Oh yeah, I for one think that 30 June will be finalised this week and then the July's!!! woo hoooooooo!! I really do believe that when DIAC processes the July's, they'll be able to process August's along with it because a considerably lower number of people have applied in those months in comparison to anything before or on June
  19. haha, congratulations, but just to say that I really like your name - I think it's awesome
  20. Oh, I am so all for extra time off even if it jams up the timeline!! Let me tell you something or two about time off: I live for it! So I can perfectly understand and completely empathise if the whole dam office takes off, cause I wish that were me! Oh that is so great, to know you have tomorrow and the next few days off - do you know what it's like to get a paid day off?? Oh my, I cannot even begin to express such glee here on this forum!! :ssign11:
  21. I'm wondering about this as well, because my degree was also assessed to be "comparable" but I didn't use an agent. All I did was give them my transcripts and the testamur, but everyone has to do that. Do all ACS letters not assess the degree? Is that now considered to be a separate service?
  22. lol, yeah, that is disappointing! I guess you're right about the holidays. So I guess the usual processing times would be one month of applications every two weeks. Wow, that would translate to two months of applications per month for priority 4's. Does that sound right?
  23. wow, congrats to everyone who has a CO now. Question - did anyone notice if the DIAC usually processes 10 days of applications in 14 days? I know it sounds confusing, but in other words, the last priority list that was updated on December 23rd shows the following table: They have processed 10 days of applicatins for priority 4 since 23rd December. A jump from May 5 to May 15. Is this the norm? Applicants who lodged a GSM application before the following dates have been contacted by a case officer. 24. I have not read about anyone failing their medicals by diac - the doctors will usually tell you right there and then if there is a problem. On the other hand, what I have read about people failing is their IELTS
  25. That's a very good question - probably one that should be on its own thread.
