Not true in WA, the application form asks if you do or have previously owned a property in Australia. No mention of any other countries. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Once you have PR you will be eligible for family assistance, rent assistance and child care benefit and rebate but as to how much it us difficult to say. Try the Centrelink calculator as suggested to get an estimate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

http://abr.business.gov.au Apply online and you'll see what criteria you need to meet, just drop out of the application before the end until you're ready. You need your TFN number first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Voluntary fees ($60 per child for ours) only but uniform is pricey. If you qualify for family tax assistance then you will get Schoolkids bonus of $410 per year for primary. The unofficial earnings limit above which you don't get family assistance is about $129000 per year but it is all dependant on your circumstances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

I am surprised at your experience, ours was great, we rang up an appointment was made and it was all plain sailing including an explanation of the whole savings/ credit malarkey ! They won't issue a visa debit until they have your ID but we had ours within 5 days of the branch visit. The EFTPOS card was fine to start with and was accepted virtually everywhere. Whenever I ring with a query which isn't often it is easy to get through to a real person and they are in Australia ! The Internet and mobile app banking are also great. Oh and no monthly fees on their regular account ever! I think you were just unlucky ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Check the Weekend West nice and early on Saturday and hit the phones, there's usually a fair few tradie jobs in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free -
Your kidding, we've seen more live music in Perth in 10 months than we saw in the last 5 years in the UK !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

I'll have a go now after having our 3 in after school care for a few weeks ! Your CCB percentage in our case 82.63% is taken off the basic hourly rate of $3.99 so they paid $3.29 per hour. The child care place charged about $9 per hour so our out of pocket was about $5-6 which the CCR covers 50% of so we had to actually pay about $3 per hour per child. Does that make sense ??????? Oh and we got the CCR paid to us fortnightly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Hmm that's ok unless I want to fill up on the way home as it only covers about 15km south of Perth CBD ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Same as you 151.9 but had the Coles docket so saved $1.27 off my $48 fill up ;-) Not too bad as its only 1.5km from the CBD too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

I agree the winter temps are very good (and warmer than previous years apparently) but not at night with no heating or any way to stop the wind howling through the windows. Unfortunately we have come from a house that was 18c at night and 20c in the day thanks to double glazing and central heating. It seems madness to run any heaters here as it all just goes out the windows. Ah well this is Australia and we love it regardless ;-)) Oh does Marmite work as well as vegemite ?? NAB are a great choice, they are so easy to deal with and you can get to speak to a person on the phone not a machine. 9 months in and no problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Only been asked once in 8 domestic flights and that was because I had to check in at the desk as booked an exit row, driving licence sorted it. Normally I scan my Qantas frequent flyer card at the electronic check in post then at the gate and I'm on the plane. Too easy as they say ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
