  6. CAn anybody help me out here. I have a176WA SS visa which means i should stay in WA for 2 years. I have now read that on the 190 visa which is the new one that you could leave WA and work in another state and nowbody would ask. Has anyone done this? If so how?Would you Job need to be on a list? We are finding things are costing far too much here and you can only live Hand to mouth on a non mining wage. We do not all earn $100,000+ per year and i'm starting to feel things could be better in another state.Perth is a great City so don't get me wrong it's just i had hoped for more to life here than working 60hours weeks to Support my Family. Any help here would be great.

Did i forget some thing as i was just talking to some friends and they have said that they signed in to WA. I had just throught that as i have done all of the above it would be known where i am and what we are doing. What other things have i missed out? If anyone can help me here it would be great Thanks George

  9. Hi We are a family of 4 comming over to live in the Rockingham area for a start but will move to where i find work. We a re a mixed family of English(me) and German(wife) and have been living in Germany for the last 61/2 years with our 2 kids. After a long 2 1/2 year wait we now have our visa for me to work as a Landscape Gardener iin WA and i can't wait. It's been 8 years since i was last in WA so i see that alot has changed there. I have a couple of questions for you all if you can help me, 1. I have seen some jobs in Bunbury that i live the look of. What is it like there now? Are there good schools and shops? How is the rental prices there? 2.Does anyone have contact to any Germans in the Perth area that we could maybe meet up with to help with the move and home sick of my wife and kids?Don't get me wrong we want to meet all but it could help a bit in the first few months. I would think that for alot of you it's easy as your English and that there's over 150,000 in WA as with Germans there's around 3500. That's all for now hope to hear from you soon

  11. I too am a Landscaper movomg over to WA in Febuary 2013. I made the TRA part very easy by getting first my AQFIII as a landscaper. After this i had no questions from the TRA but just had to wait for them to look at it. This shoiuld also help with getting work as Oz firms have a better idea of what they will be getting. On the otherside i have now 20years behind me working in the UK,NZ,OZ and Germany.
  12. Hi there all, Well after alot of looking around we too are looking at comming to Mandurah in Febuary 2013. We are a family of 4 from Germany/UK who are looking to start our new life back in Oz. I get the feeling that the people moving to this area are looking for something more than the ones going direct around Perth. I have a question and please don't take it wrong. How is the mix of nationality's in Mandurah? As i hear that around Perth is a very high rate of English and not much else. It would be great to hear from you all and to know if any of you have contact with any other nationality's.
  13. We too are looking at movins to Bunbury in Febuary 2013 and would love more info on the place as it'S been 9 years since i was last there. We would love to meet up we people to find out more. Me UK wife German and two kids Clara 5 and Aaron 3. I hear that for kids our age it's a good start. How's work there for a Landscape Gardener?
  14. reeding this makes me feel sick. We are coming over in January and have a short term rental for when we arrive(7 weeks) and hope to find somewhere in this time!!!! For us we will look where i find work so maybe not in Perth but Bunbury area. Is this standard for all WA? We don't want much but a house that will stand up to our time in it!!!
  15. Hello So to save a bit we will be packing our own stuff. Has any of you out there done this too? When packing boxes what do you need to write on them? How much do you need to tell custums i.e box of books or 27 books, kids toys or plastic toys games ect. I understand they want to know what's in boxes so they know where to look but how much info is enough? hope to hear some good answers over this.
  16. :biglaugh:Well after reading this it has made me laugh. I have been away from the Uk now for so long that there is nothing that i miss and i'm now ready for my next stage back in Oz again after 9 years. After being away from the english breakfast for so long it's now gone. For choc i have to say i will miss Milka(Germany) but i know that if needed Oz has other good things to offer. Now only four months to go:biglaugh:

  18. Hi all, I know this might sound like a funny question but i'll ask it anyway. How common are walkin wardrobes in Oz rentals? We have 2 big wardrobes and are not sure if to take them with us and then just have them taking up space. Thanks George
  19. hi So i put i have put 12000 for relocation(flights container car ect) 30000 for settlement funds + later 12000 from sold items 3200 per month for living expenses(for family of 4) I hope you have a reply soon as i had mine in 48 hours. We now have all finished and will be off on 31st january 2013
  20. I had 30000AD on my form and was asked if i had any more. I wrote a letter to say this was our cash now and that we would gain more from the sale of our items when we leave. So added around 12000AD and gained SS 12 hours later. This was back in June so things could have changed but i think not.
  21. Hi allSo we are getting ready to pack for the big move and i have a question over kids toys.We want to take over our used toy and wanted to know what others have done as far as cleaning and marking boxes.I want to take a few RC cars over too but i'm not sure if it will be alot of stress. Has anyone done this and how?We are not taking any of our sand or outside toys as they are all well use and will be better to buy new in Oz.All answers will be good
  22. I just wanted to know if anyone has shipped there washing machine or dryer with them? Ours is over 1 year old but still good and was thinking to take it. I know small items are not worth it as you can buy them cheap and to have lots of extra plugs is just more stress.
  23. Well after 3 months wait we had an answer on friday and our visa was granted. It's been a long process for me over the last 2 1/2 years but now we're there. Now the plan to pack and arrange everything for our move in January 2013 from Germany to Perth.Good luck to all those still waiting
  24. ^hello all,It's good to hear these prices as i was starting to worry that it would be hard to live in Perth as things have got so expensive. Whats peoples views on rental. We have around $400 a week what will we be getting for this? Where are the best mixed areas and we would like to live with other nations and not feel like we're in little England.
