http://www.qcos.net.au/physicians_drforster.htm Dr Ben Foster has an excellent reputation with feet. A good place to start.
Make sure you get private medical cover http://www.iselect.com.au HCF is a good one.
As a child he would be covered by the public system too.
Have a look at Northern NSW - Byron Bay is simply fantastic - but work is the problem at present.
Tweed and the Sothern end of the Gold Coast are lovely.
Otherwise have a look at WA as the work situation over there is pretty good.
Make sure you join the Surf Life Saving Club in Noosa and get the boys signed up for Nippers in September. Get involved and you'll meet loads of people quickly.
Hi Bill, Cooroy is a pretty, small country town and is something of "old Queensland". Very pretty and lots of acreage properties and quite close to Noosa.
If you like rural then make sure you look at Maleny, Montville, Eumundi and Doonan.
I feel sorry for them that it didn't work out for them. I do admit the first 18 months were damn hard but it does get easier and I don't want to go back to the cold or the festering UK politics. I like it here.
You'll be fine, if it was Iberia airlines I'd say you were stuffed! Even if you miss your flight you will be looked after very well because its their fault.
Relax!
Its expensive here but once you get settled, get a decent income then its great. If you like outdoor sports and getting involved then its wonderful. I will not be going back to the UK for the reasons you mention.
Buderim State School is good but have a look at Chancellor State College - my kids are there and we are very happy with it. Better than the private school we pulled them out of for education! Mountain Creek is huge! The secondary school at Chancellor is also affiliated to the University and shares facillities.
Keep whatever evidence you have like emails etc and give this to immigration. They will not be impressed especially if you have withdrawn your sponsorship.
It doesn't mater too much where they are in Aus.
I used Bill Rose in Perth, I was in the UK, we moved to Queensland - it didn't matter.
