Its a desperate measure by a sleazy politician to try and win an election. PNG is one of the most dangerous places on earth, its 3rd world and I doubt the locals are going to be very happy about this. I wonder what the UN and Red Cross will make of this?
Yet Rudd was previously described as a dictator and unable to work with anyone! He micro manages and throws his teddies out of the pram daily!
They need an elction sooner to clear the air because it has stangnated confidence in Australia.
Just be warned that you may get your qualifications assessed and then you find there is a further qualification you need for State licencing. Loads get caught out on that! Bill Rose is a brilliant agent based in Perth - he'd know! http://www.anglia.com.au
I don't think this one was but the previous "menugate" making references to her anatomy down below could fit into that category. Apparently that was known to the Labour Party some time agao and was kept quiet. Now that Tony Abbot is being cast as a masoginist / sexist they are pulling out all the stops on personal / sexist attacks on Julia. You can not help but wonder if they are looking to the female vote? Too remniscent of the dirty wars / elections of Peter Mandelson. Personally I think disgusting personal attacks on a woman has no place and wish this election would be fought on the actual issues.
In "UK speak" the interviewer was a common lout - to hijack anyone in public / the airways with that question was disgusting. The fact that it was the PM and is now on the TV in front of the rest of the world is a disgrace for Australia. To her credit she handled it well.
Do yourself a huge favour and talk to an agent.
The visa situation here is incredibly complex and is constantly changing.
There are those that say you can do it yourself - but I honestly don't think you can without taking a huge risk.
I'd recommend a chat with Bill Rose http://www.anglia.com.au an initial chat is free.
You'll love the Sunshine Coast.
If you are on the list then go for the full PR status visa and you then have options and are not dependent on an employer. Good luck, you'll love it here.
A lot would depend on the nature of the job / length of time of contract etc. You need to talk to an agent and get a lot more details from them about your options. I used Bill Rose http://www.anglia.com.au
I've got a Delta inverter (10 years guarentee) and REC panels - a 5KV system and its killed our electricity bill stone dead.
REC panels came out tops on the Photon (equivalent of Which magazine for solar) and then with a 10 year gaurentee I was happy to go with Delta.
Sunny Boy and Solar River are considered good inverters too.
Shop arround and look at the warrrenties.
with the various grants that were available here last year I paid about $10K.
Without grants you'd be looking between $12 - 14K for a 5KV system (top notch)
Find a small independent operator - go and talk to them and then do your price research online. REC panels and either a Delta or SMA Sunny Boy inverter come out the best in the trials - get a good guarentee.
Depends entirely on the school. But on the whole I think there is a greater respect for education here and schools are not tied down to the same PC nonsense as in UK. Go for it!
Medicare office is in the Plaza in Maroochydore.
DRiving licence - Queensland transport - in Maroochydore.
TFNs I think you need to apply online for these.
Make sure you get all your dental work up to date before you leave.
