    The keeper has had surgery and is "comfortable". However there will be some "do gooder" or "official" who will no doubt be demanding the Tiger is put down. Come on everyone this is something we can do to help - support the Tiger - contact your MP today. I have!

    Not a patch on the wonderful beaches and surf life of the Sunshine Coast. But seriously only boring people get bored.

    Haven't seen any in Aus but with the coastline here it makes sense to do it rather than burning coal or oil. Solar on homes is very popular and we have this and no electricity bill now.

    Staying in the Union is the best thing for Scotland. Its a bit like saying Queensland would be better off alone; Scotland effectively has a State and Federal government now which seems to work.

    They will insist on a chest xray and if there are any issues they'll treat him and he'll be ok. Its undiagnosed / untreated TB that Australia doesn't want!

    I live in Buderim and am at Mooloolaba Surf Club - I am an age manager with the Nippers and do surf patrol.

    We all have our perspective on things - I'm looking at the long term future of where I want to be and the future as a retiree in the UK is not one I want for me. However each to their own and I wish you all happiness in your future.

    If you are undecided then go over for a trip and look around since. The UK is in a mess and Aus is a pretty good place to be at present.

    Has he considered joining a surf club and doing his Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion? As long as he can swim they'll teach him the rest and he can then be part of a surf patrol meeting lots of people and having lots of fun. There are lots of sports available and its a case of picking one!

    Worth asking at the Surf Club if you can get them into Nippers this year.

    There is a really great Infinity Martial Arts club in Northlakes - I know the people who run it and they are great. Next year they can join Nippers Surf Life Saving at Redcliffe. In the meantime be proactive and ask kids from school or families to come round for a beer and curry - you need to make the first move sometimes.
