  1. You complete an NRL1 form which is an Non resident landlord form in the UK, which means you dont pay the tax there but you have to declare the rental income in your Australian Tax Return. You can offset Mortgage interest, agents fees, maintenance costs(with receipts). You are only taxed in Australia.
  2. They will be able to go, once they can qualify for a visa in their own right.
  3. If your thinking about bringing your new wife and child with you I think maybe you better get them a visa first!
  4. well if she thinks its ok to spend $450 a month on Tea, I wouldnt be asking her advice on my business! and if she needs to spend that much on cosmetics every month she is just being stupid! Maybe she should stop indulging herself quite so much! Maybe wont need to spend so much on wine if she is not stressing about how much it costs to live in Sydney
  5. It will not have the Australian Safety Standards so would not be legal and would affect insurance if you had an accident. You cant get the ones with no back now either.
  6. I really wouldnt know that one sorry. I just know that I had mine removed but it was many years before I got my visa and am on Thyroxine, did not affect medicals
  7. You wont get refused for the thyroid problem. If it is removed or part removed she will probably then have to go on Thyroxine for life. It will take a few months to get the dose regulated but Thyroxine is cheap as chips here so no big cost.
  8. You will use it here in the Winter, I would bring it.

    Family Visa

If you can qualify for a visa you can, it doesnt make any difference if your parents are PR.
  10. I totally disagree with this. Get kids into school as soon as you can. It gives them a chance to make a couple of friends that they can hang out with during the holidays. 7 weeks is a long time for kids not having mates to do things with
  11. Don’t know where this guy gets his information from. There are loads of unemployed Electricians just now or on short contracts. Also so many that have started up on their own all under cutting each other. Why should they make it easy to get licenced?
  12. Nope but I would put the hose on them! Owners need to be more responsible and keep them on their own property, domestic cats are not wild animals!
  13. Why not? I dont mind cats but I dont have them and I wouldnt like anyone elses roaming about shittin in my garden and climbing on my car!

    Bulk billing??

There is no set price for a prescription you pay by the item. some cost $20 some $30 depending on what it is. Pharmacy's can also differ in price depending which one you go to. Some will price match though, so if you look up the item in Chemist Warehouse which tends to be the cheapest tell your local pharmacy what you can get it for and the might match it.
  15. Well since they are looking at house and land packages just now and coming over on a tourist visa to apply for a parent visa its hardly likely that that will happen
  16. You will also need FIRB approval
  17. Is bricklaying considered regional work that you require for the 2nd year visa?
  18. The full rent should have been declared as income in Australia. You can offset mortgage interest but not the mortgage, you can also offset maintenance and agents fees. OP should have completed and NRL1 form as an overseas landlord which means you are not taxed in the UK, still have to do a tax return but wont have to pay, but full amount gets added on to Australian earnings and declared to the ATO. Also for Centrelink the house should be declared as an asset as it is not OP's place of residence. The rent is also classed as income
  19. Because it’s in Butler probably- Little Britain!
  20. Maybe 10 years ago rentals were that cheap in the UK, we have a small 2 x1 in Scotland and get over $1100 for that per month! Also you cant have done much research as I live 5 minutes from Hilarys, Sorrento and many other beaches and you can rent a decent 3x1 here for around $300. Why after spending most of your working life in the UK, paying your tax there do you expect Australia to hand you everything on a plate just because you were born here?
