No, your current employer is not informed She doesn't need to do anything, it's up to your new employer to get the new nomination I've been told a few weeks for nomination to be transferred, but that might depend on how efficient your new employer is Good luck!

  3. Hihi I'm on a 457 and have a new employer lined up who is also a 457 sponsor. My new employer is applying to nominate me right now. Apparently that will take a few weeks to process (anybody know and more?). I have a one month notice period so I'm thinking that if I resign then the new nomination will be ready by about the time I actually leave. That is my preference, so I don't have to work another month after the nomination approval period. Is there any risk to resigning now, or should I wait until the new nomination is all done? Is the transfer a formality, or could it not happen? Thanks a lot!
