free in my garden anytime I want it! It is easier to grow your own here I think.

I've been struggling to get herbs established, first time tried from seedlings, but they got aphids or some sort or bug, first attempt from seeds got mould, second attempt had a bike fall over on them in high winds. Haven't got around to trying again, but really should, so much nicer to use fresh herbs than dried...

Buy the little plants it is much easier! I have planted parsley, basil, marjoram and rosemary. The rain waters them and that's it. They are stablished and in three months are huge!

Yeah, I know, I was just unlucky with aphids the first time, hence tried seeds, but I think I'll go back to trying plants, at least we got to use some of them before they got destroyed, with the seeds they never got more than four leaves before dying

I drive a hyundia I30 for work and we also have a hyundia tuscon. I would recommend them. cheap cars, great value.

I thought that's what he was, we had 2, they are the most loving , beautiful natured cats in the world aren't they, big teddy bears. Ours used to lie like that in front of the fan when they got too hot in the summer. Too funny.

our electric is double that and wish our food bill was that low, we are lucky if ours is less than $350 a week

rent= $640

car insurance (fullycomp) = $600 per year

vixxy666 you know that you dont simply set up a bank account in OZ then get the bank to transfer the money over... they give you a shocking exchange rate, what you need to do is use a company like halo. you set up an account with them and they watch the exchange rate before getting you the most for your money, you can save thousands of $s by doing this and obviously the more you exchange the better a rate you get. this is what were going to do. hope this helps, and stacey is right, im not upset with you its just the people trying to talk us out of this move who keep mentioning it.

I know what you mean over the negative stuff, Australias not to everyones liking but i love it.

Me and gordon live near each other and if he's meaning its people around here that are saying the negative stuff then you'll find they are mostly just jealous. Most people around here are the type that have stayed around here their whole life. I'm not saying theres anything wrong with that at all but I've found they dont like it when someone makes a change even if its something simple like a new car or maybe even a new house they always have to bitch about it. This is not somewhere i want to live much longer!

Anyway, that was some rant lol. I can understand some people like family try put you off, its just their way of trying to make you stay but if they can see that your doing it for the right reasons then they should be happy for you IMO

Hoff stop busting ma balls, hahahahahahaha yes i love the sopranos it’s fantastic. A mob boss in therapy, constantly needing relationships and people to show him emotion and yet he’s ruthless with others.

Stacey the fact people don’t want us to go by using rubbish excuses like its more expensive is just making me more focused on going. i have had some personal issues recently which should be coming to an end and i am ad driven as ever to get over to OZ as quickly as possible. i have even found myself distancing myself from those people. On the other hand some people are being positive about it and that is helping. How’s your life going anyway pal.

I remember someone said to me once after watching wanted down under "did you know even food like baked beans are more expensive in oz" like they were expecting me to say oh really, well i'll just stay here then!! If its just people being negative over silly things then ignore it, i can almost guarantee its jealousy. At the end of the day its your life and as long as you and your little family are happy about the move then thats the only important thing. Some things are more expensive over there but theres always ways ways to get around it and you know theres so much more job opportunities in your field over there. Lifes okay thanks, just getting on with things lol

I agree gorgon/Stacey that's why I posted the question it's always how expensive things are because things have changed ffrom ten years ago but everywhere has I thought not everything could be more expensive (phew!) it's just gonna be find out when I get there n adapt to a new way of life.

i wouldn’t say adapt vixxy i would say embrace. its so exciting to be getting closer to getting out of this county which has such a massive problem with BLAME. no matter what happens in this country they always need someone to blame and/or someone to deflect blame to. i truly do hate the UK. beans could be worth $100 over there Stacey i would still go because money isn’t the attraction, its the lifestyle and attitude of the people who run the country, you will get what you work for in Australia and i for one am not afraid to get stuck in, work hard and give my family the lifestyle we deserve. . . . . . . . . . . . .goodness me I’m doing some amount of ranting just now.
