My husband hasn't applied for a vetassess yet. I applied as a chemist last year but was rejected. We are undecided whether to have another go either as a chemistry technician or a life sciences techncian for an employer sponsored visa. Got the letter.... It states that my qualification is "considered comparable to Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education (AVCE) / BTEC National Diploma / Certificate / Award standard" and it "falls on the same level of the Ntional Qualifications framework as N/SVQ level 3" Hmmm??? I guess from what I read in some posts that this is still a Cert.IV in Australia. :mad: Now I don´t know if there are any courses I coud attend because they would not take my work experience from the last five years into account...??:confused: Chemistry technician is on the sponsorship list of western australia. So I think your husband should apply to vetassess. Give it a go! All these things are so confusing and nerve racking! I will ring VETASSESS on Monday to clarify some things and take it from there... heyheyhey Posted August 7, 2012 Share Posted August 7, 2012 My boyfriend's application has been submitted on 19 June, documents received on 27 June, but assessment still pending... Crossing my fingers everything is alright, it has been such a painful process for him to get to here.... 4 years of setbacks, hopes and crazy efforts! What about managerial/business assessment timeframes? Currently on a 457 visa nominated as Marketing Specialist Last month I'v completed a year on the 457 so I now have 1 years relevant Australian experience (+additional 6 months off the 457 but same employer). The new CSOL has http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupations/m/marketing-specialist.htm on the list (same as my 457 nomination). If you are selected, you can expect VETASSESS to let you know. Hi Wrussell, I am from India, I applied for my wife's skill assessment as a self employed Massage Therapist with all the required documentation on 20/1/14 and it was still in progress after 13 weeks so i dropped them a reminder email and I received a message that now my case is prioritized and after further 3 weeks I again posted them a reminder and now i have received a reply that my case has been selected for integrity check and is currently with DIAC and they shall finalize it after they receive reports from them. I am confused about what should I be prepared for a phone call or a personal visit...?? Last year I applied for my own Skills assessment for self employed Homoeopath and Got my positive skill assessment in 17 weeks with nearly similar documentation.
