NSW State Sponsorship Application - Processing Times?

Recommended Posts

Today I received ack mail from NSW . In mail, it has been specified that processing time is 16 week. so probably in first week of June I will have invitation from NSW as my document reached at NSW office on 11th feb. I hope "Software engineer" quota will not be exhaust by June.

Can anyone guide me what if quota of software engineer will be exhausted before I receive invitation from NSW?

NSW or other states will not sponsor a skill code if it has reached its quota for the year.

Hi @rcherukoori congratulations! Can you post your timeline?

I believed yes they will start the processing immediately as they will allocate a CO for your case whom will contact you for requirements such as medicals, clearance etc...

Congratulations again, good luck on your next process :)

Hi Tanay,

I received ack mail from NSW today as well. There is no file. no. or anything.

It said like you said it takes 16 weeks and tax invoice and result will be emailed to you.

Hi Mirgrate,

Thanks for reply.

I also have same mail, don't know what would be next. I am bit worried about s/w engineer category quota, I have applied under that category and it is already 75% full..

Let see when will be next response from NSW.

Hi Pooya. As I have already mentioned, I sent my application from Sydney. I received the acknowledgement letter by e-mail. I sent my application in April. May be in March when you sent yours the rules were different and you will get your letter much later, like it happens with other guys who applied before. Good luck

Tnx Mardenta.I hope get it soon.

cheers

Many thanks Bubbe.

But I have submitted EOI for 190 VISA, can I contact them and try to get an invite as mentioned here.

And as per my understanding, if one gets 489 VISA for Orana he has to live/work in Orana only and can not move outside Orana for job. While in 190 VISA, I think one can live/work anywhere in NSW ? Am I correct or I am missing something ?

I am just trying to check pros and cons of two VISAs. I guess hunting for a job in whole NSW would be a bit easier than only in Orana region.

Please suggest.

Thanks and Regards,

Jyoti
