Hi All,

We've just had the most lovely email...............

Visa Grant

:ssign19:

That was much quicker than I imagined.

Now come on Immi have a look at how my Visa was processed....

Form 80 completed with original application.

Early Med and Poloice Check requests.

Early contact for AOS.

CO to grant 4 days.

There has to be a future in this for all the CPV's

Thanks to all my fellow sufferers on the forum for helping make this a more than just bearable process.

Good Luck to the 2014ers awaiting your turn.

To all the 15ers time really does fly, it'll be here before you know it. even if it doesn't feel like it.

Thats it, I'm up off my seat and leaving the waiting room. Shuffle along everyone, one seat closer.

Cheers

Phil

Please , please keep up on the forum, as Skeelsy does, and let us know your experiences.

i have to ask........do you have a Harley? Have you imported? Etc, etc.

I am a biker (not Harley) lol.. and already in touch with a couple of like minded people over in the Perth region, just curious if you have found a club or such like?

A huge congrats to those of you who are just stepping out of the waiting room door and good luck to those who's who are nearly there. To the rest of us ..... Hang in there.

Was wondering if any one who has gone or who are going out on the e600 visa could give me some advise regarding the travel / health insurance I need to set in place before applying for the visa .

Thanks in advance

Lisa

I have replies previously to someone else, I am going on an e600 tourist visa in November. I am only expecting my CPV visa through July 17, hopefully before, but......

On my e600 application I quoted a travel insurance with ANZ for a 12 month visit, and this must have been accepted, as my visa was granted.

it only took 7 days to come through, very easy.

Just checked Imedical, as test results were due to complete today, all tests now in, but imedical now shows '501 Medical Examination Awaiting Grading' whereas yesterday this was showing completed...................... is this normal?

Hi

i am intrigued. I went straight to mine as only had our Medicals one day before you. As ours was done in Oz we were told all results in within 48 hours then sent to immi so curious as to why you were told would not complete until 3 weeks later. And also curious like you as to what 'awaiting grading' - is it like school A+ or C- Kim

Question for @HARLEYDPHIL - sorry I know been asked lots. I am bewildered - as a CPV applicant I should be used to that by now but am more so than usual. You gave your form 80 when lodged application so now it is 2 years out of date - clearly not queried as you HAVE PR. As peps on here have been completing at various times so is immi happy to accept form 80 current as to anytime during waiting period Kim

I was wondering the same thing - it's something I could get done, a little job off the list, maybe something to reduce the wait by a day or two  I know I have ages to wait but it would seem like I was making a little progress.

Can anyone tell me how recent the police checks have to be - do they have to be within 12 months of visa grant etc - thanks everyone.

Hi Kim

We were told it would take 3 weeks for the HIV test to be sent away and returned, as this wasn't something the clinic we went to do, completed on site apparently. I hope it's not like school, my grades where never good!!

Having just completed ours, we were told to sign them and sent to MA, but not to date them. If nothing changes by the time they are called for, the MA will date them. But if there were changes, then we would need to redo them. Given the time doing them, we have stopped our weekends in Europe, so we don't have anything to amend!!

@Val Tibenham, We have completed ours now, and not due a case officer for another month or so. No harm in doing them now, and my Form 80 took me 4 hours or so to complete, due to traveling we have done over the past 10 years, and because I couldn't find my Military records, took me a while to plot out where and what I was doing in that time period.

Hi

I am just behind you in the queue, but I am going out on a visitor visa this November to Perth.

I have a friend in Mandurah, it's lovely, and not that far away from Perth, I will keep in touch with the site, and if you let me know when you arriving we could arrange to meet up after you have settled in.

As other members have said it can be hard to get into a social circle, but as 'waiting room' members meet and invite others to BBQ or other occasions, and depending who is there, it can start a new vine............

Not everyone gets along with everyone, but the more people's paths we can cross, the more we are able to make friends along the way........even if it not the original person we met.

Keep in touch, I am sure we will soon be like the 2014 mob!!! I bet they feel like they know each other already

Bev

Hi Bev we are in Ridgewood in the northern suburbs.

whereabouts will you be? Let me know when you come and we can arrange a meet up

Hi Bev,

I will only be the other side of the waiting room door, can't go too far as the forum has been my comfort blanket for the last 2 years.

Yes, I have a Harley FatBoy (solid wheel one that Arnie drove in Terminator).

Its going into the container with all our worldly goods but I have had to apply for its own import approval.

I have not looked at any clubs yet as not sure where we'll settle. It will be fab to ride it out in Perth and not have to spend 3hrs cleaning all the chrome because of road spray.

Look forward to catching up in Aus.

Cheers

Phil

Hi feeling bit lonesome with all these 2014 Perthsiders making social plans - I am planning to visit my sister who lives in Serpentine this Sept so could a wee drinkie slot be co-ordinated around then as love to catch up - I want to see that @HARLEYDPHIL fat boy parked up gleaming (I don't like it when they roar away) and @Dolphin1962 finning her way to the bar for a round and of course @Geordie Joe in full stalking gear still trying to spot the lesser spotted 'you know who' Kim

Hi Kim,

When I first joined the forum I was surprised that people were completing form 80 so late in the process and thought that my agent had stuffed up. So I expected that I would have an addendum to do, at the least. Also now the holiday history is only 10 years we had to do 30 years Aaaaargggggghhhhh! You lot have it easy

If my experience is anything to go by "Get it done"

Nothing ventured nothing gained

Good Luck

Phil

Hi,

Your entry date to Australia after grant will be 12 months from the earliest date of Police Check or Meds because they are only valid for a 12month period.

Nice update.......... 24 days till us :ssign19:, reckon it will be less, if it can just go a bit faster downhill!!

If we all huff and we puff in a very coordinated manner we might just add some tail wind just like the flight from Perth to Sydney is nearly hour less than Sydney to Perth - might be other way round! It's the principle that matters Kim

Hi Sadge

You are just a day after my lodgement, don't know about you but I've just about had enough of waiting for IMMI to contact us. My patience is just about worn out, I like to be organised and have stuff completed in plenty of time, but this is all doing my head in. Still i'm so busy sorting, sifting and selling in readiness for our move in June that I suppose time will get a move on.

are you ready to move to Oz or got a house to sell? When do you aim to be in oZ? Happy to keep in touch.

Julie
