  1. I’m over in Perth, and have met lots of people, (some strange, but mainly goo on a website called Meet-up, it’s big over here, depending on your interests will depend on the different groups you go and look at. i went on a couple that were not my cup of tea, but have made some friends on others, so if you try it, don’t think all groups are the same. Good luck
  2. I haven’t heard anything from Centrelink! Still waiting for the letter with reference numbers to place the bond. !!
  3. Trouble is Christmas and holidays looming, but I must say, I am still thrilled!!
  4. Apologies for the very, very late reply!! I have only just seen the message. Both of my 600 visas have not had the health insurance condition or the no further stay, or max 12 in 18 month! i think I have been very lucky.
  5. Sorry, only just seen this message, I don’t know which is, but have previously dealt with the Cannington office for my Medicare card, so I will probably go there.
  6. Yeah!! 2 emails received this morning (Saturday)!!!, 1 requesting form 80/ medical/ police checks, the other requesting AOS. I know it will still be a while, but what a fantastic Xmas present. Merry Christmas everyone, and I hope the good news keeps coming.........
  7. Didn’t work for me, I didn’t have the ‘no further stay’ restriction, I applied for an extension paid $348 and it was refused stating that I needed extenuating circumstances and waiting for my parent Visa was not an appropriate reason. Thus then returned to UK reapplied and was accepted.
  8. Hi there Youhave not been forgotten, I don’t think anyone who applied from July 15 has heard anything. i am living in Perth on a E600 visa it last for 12 months but you cannot ask for an extension unless you have extenuating circumstances, you have to leave the country and reapply offshore. I am on my second E600 with no problems. I went back to the U.K. for a visit and reapplied it came through in 4 days.
  9. Congratulations Lolly T, I hope your timeframe comes to me.............but I don’t think that will be happening, heard zilch!!
  10. Already done, the local minister is contacting the home affairs department, as we have requested a meeting?
  11. Hi, I am not sure if the 600 visas are all the same, as they sometimes have exemptions. Mine states I can stay for 12 months after my last entry, if yours is the same you could nip over to Bali and reenter Australia before 28\10 then your Visa will expire 12 months from the date you retun (unless you leave again in this extended time, it would then expire as you left the country)
  12. I am on my 2nd 600 now, been in Australia since Nov 16, you have to be offshore when applying for another 600, and it’s usually through in a few days. I wasn’t asked for a medical. Also if I leave the country before the end of the initial 12 months I can stay here for 12 months after that. (Although should I leave Australia in that extended time for any reason the Visa expires on my exit)
  13. Well done on this, I sometimes think I have been forgotten, so it’s helpful to see the queue.?
  14. Where in Perth are you, I’m living in Harrisdale SOR (south of river)
  15. POM stands for ‘Person of Means’ (so I was informed while on a city tour) it was the first immigrants from England (not prisoners) who were buying land, building houses, but also had to buy acreage outside of the cities to farm, so the population could be fed and sustained.
  16. Hi Ray and Geri i am looking at your timeline, it seems others ahead of you have had requests for documents etc, i am just after you, is it worth contacting immi?
