Bloody good luck to all who have had their SS granted but how is it that many have applied much later than me and I'm still waiting to hear. Seems to me the SA gov are every bit as incompetent as our own! paulimouse Posted May 25, 2009 Share Posted May 25, 2009 Hi all - having received confimation of Sponsorship from ACT (which we were advised they would reassess our application in Jul and we were under the impression we were not going to obtain) hence why we applied for SA, we have withdrawn our application with SA. We are able to now apply for a 176 to ACT which is great great news. Good luck to all those applying - Adelaide looks like a fantastic place to move to and I am sure we would have been extremely happy there. I have today received an email from what I think must be my newly appointed case officer asking for my Vetasses cert to confirm that I have passed the test. Seems a bit strange to me seeing that I have already sent certified copies off to them quite some time ago. Perhaps their just checking me out. I take it that this now means I have a case officer ???????????????/ Has anyone else had a request for documents that they have already supplied ? There's a number to call but I'm gonna have to do it from work, I'll have to wait till the boss isn't about - hope he doesn't check the outgoing calls:( I'm hoping it's just an admin error on their part, surely even a 'no' decision shouldn't take this long and I can't see any reason why they should refuse me. Well I think we know we are seeing a better picture than that but nevertheless it gives us something else to measure against. Etienne Posted May 26, 2009 Share Posted May 26, 2009 Hi all, I was allocated a CO in early Feb, who then requested further information such as meds and pol checks. It took us a while to get all of this done due to a med report for my wife we had to wait for and pol checks from south africa. I finally emailed the final document this past weekend. But I have now seen that the immi visa spaces have once again been decreased. Does this mean all of use not yet granted a visa might be judged more harshly so that they can make their 2009/2010 quota? Or will it simply mean that we might not receive the visa this year, but possibly later. In other words, can they refsue our application based on the lower visas available, whereas we might have received it when the number of visas were higher? We are just waiting for the house sale to complete on 11th June (it exchanged last Friday finally) and then we are going to book our flights. But we are planning a few nights stopover on the way. I have not had a email from DIAC either. So i am a bit confused. However i am taking my chances now...i sent off for police checks yesterday and i have booked medicals for the 12th june 09. is this all normal? or am i being over paronaoid? i have no agent. thanks !
