Professor off immunology on 2GB reiterated that there are no medical conditions stopping anybody from having one of the COVID vaccines, not a single one.  I’m under the care of a cardiologist and a nephrologist and I’m double vaccinated (Pfizer).

That is simply not true. There are exemptions . I suspect the pressure is on to ensure these exemptions    are granted as rarely  possible. I'd be     very suspect at so called 'experts' attempting to pass that off as an indisputable fact.

Yes there are exemptions and they are very clearly stated on the relevant websites.   If a doctor issues an exemption for one of the specified conditions, then there is no problem at all.

If I'm reading the original poster correctly, her health problems are under investigation, and until they are clarified, they can't be sure if she has one of the conditions on the list or not.

The other possibility is that her anxiety levels must be running very high at the moment due to her circumstances, and perhaps that is making her unreasonably susceptible to some of the erroneous anti-vaxxer propaganda that is out there.

Hi Everyone,

I hope you can help. I'm a British Citizen and have lived 'Down Under' for nearly 11 years. One of my kids was born in England the other was born here. I have a valid Australian passport, but I will be renewing my British passport as soon as next week. My two children do not have passports as my ex-husband will not sign passport forms. That's another story.  I work in a skilled industry and will be losing my job due to 'mandates'. The doctors have been silenced and I cannot get an exemption even though I have existing and other health concerns under investigation. None meet the criteria for an exemption and due to the fear of being dismissed doctors will not attach their name to one.

I feel things are tough in many countries now but, I'm not sure how much longer I can hang on for here.  With the looming job loss, my health, and the situation in Australia becoming unbearable, what chance do I have of getting out in terms of Border Force, flights (without injections) etc? I can sell everything I own, but I will run out of money quickly being out of work and I cannot access my superannuation unless I've been on welfare payments for 6 months. My salary is my only income. I am the primary carer for the children and meet all of their needs, medical, education etc.  My brother and sister live in England and my mum in North Wales. We have a beautiful dog that I would like to take to England too. I understand that I cannot leave the country without permission from my ex-husband. He is difficult to get hold of and it normally takes weeks to get a simple reply to an email.

If you have already returned please reply about the job situation and availability of rentals. I've lived in London and Peterborough. Chester is great but I don't mind so much where we live as long as I can find employment. I like to and want to work. Thank you.

Please be kind =).

You could just get a vaccine? Just saying?

I think he knows far better than you.  There are no clinical reasons not to have one of the available vaccines..

Hence one would expect advise matching so termed expertise then. Just shows one should not 'feel intimidated ' or in awe of professional title. One cannot obviously comment on a individual case, just the OP's claim, if true, that there are no exemptions is a fallacy. (only going on information provided)

For me it is actually the other way around. I recently read that the recovery rate is 97% + and I'm not in a hot spot but I understand what you mean.

@ByoDurbsUKAus, the recovery rate is 97%+, but are you aware that doesn't apply to you, if you have a heart condition?

My sister (in the UK) has a serious heart condition and she was urged to get vaccinated urgently, because people with a weak heart are at very high risk of dying if they catch Covid.  All her family got vaccinated too, to protect her as much as possible.

Here's the ATAGI document which very clearly sets out which conditions are entitled to get an exemption.  There are a few heart-related conditions which warrant an exemption. If one of those applies to you then there is no reason why the doctor should not issue an exemption:

My neighbour who is in his late 50s has serious health issues both with previous clots and myocarditis along with circulation, diabetes, breathing……………He was very reluctant to get jabbed as in SA we have had very little exposure to COVID and he felt the risks associated with the vaccines were too high. I persuaded him to talk to his Specialists properly about it not just tag it on to an existing appointment.

The cardio specialist turned out to be  the catalyst for him getting vaccinated. basically he was at no more risk of a vaccine complication than anyone else but far more at risk of serious complications if he got COVID.   The  doc also told him that with his existing health issues he would be lucky to survive COVID and if he did he would likely have even more long term health problems.

He is now fully vaccinated and had no worse than a sore arm, in fact he felt worse after his flu jab.

I wouldn’t set foot in the UK if unvaccinated infection is widespread there.

Of course not because they are still in a trial phase that's why it is ill-advised for me to have them.  My doctors has said I risk pericarditis as one serious effect.  The full diagnosis will be known in two - three weeks.  EASIER but not necessary safe for everyone you know.

You are basically arguing to the courts you have to leave Australia and take the kids away from their father because you don't want to get vaccinated.

Personally i think this is ridiculous.

YOU HAVE OBVIOUSLY IGNORED WHAT I HAVE STATED ABOUT THIS! AT THIS TIME I CANNOT BE INJECTED. HOW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT?????

I realise that the recovery rate is high! Regardless until my heart condition has a name I cannot get an exemption. I have seen that document and my doctor has gone through it with me.

If the doctor has said no, then he is obliged to give you an exemption.

He may not because the ATAGI guidelines do not allow for this. He will lose his job. It is becoming widely known that doctors will lose their jobs if they issue exemptions. They have been silenced and that's a fact.

I do think you need to add up the risk. You are more at risk of serious health issues if you contract COVIDthan you are from a bad reaction to a vaccine.

Definitely not true. My GP even said that. The risk of the 'vaccine' is far greater than catching the virus.  I live in an area that has no Covid cases, no one has died (adult, child, healthcare worker or otherwise). But what is alarming is the rising cases of pericarditis and that's a risk for me according to a professional doctor.

Many people who genuinely need them have been denied them.  The only applicable reasons can be found in the ATAGI document.  If you have anything else outside of what's stated in that document it doesn't matter. I have an autoimmune disease and that doesn't apply either. Somehow 26 million people are part thereof will fit into those 2/3 categories and if you don't you will not get an exemption.

Yes they will, if they issue exemptions that are not on the list which I linked to. If your condition is confirmed as on the list you will get an exemption.

It sounds as though it’s just a case of having patience for another two or three weeks, then you will either get an exemption or you’ll be able to get vaccinated.

Oh my goodness, I hear you. I have been in Australia 12 years and the situation is beyond scary, for us it has been horrific. Both my children were born in Wales and my elderly parents still live there. I am desperate to move back as I feel we do have more rights there than here. I wish you good luck & God bless. I give myself 12 months before I return.

Why are vaccines so important against a 99.97% survival rate of a healthy person? Just asking as the common cold is a corona virus & that has never been successfully obliterated! The adjuvants alone that are added to vaccines are scary. They used to add mercury to amalgam fillings in teeth and after many years they discovered the mercury was slowly poisoning people. We have absolutely no idea what effect these vaccines will have on us after 12 months never mind 20 years.

I would be interested to read the information source that provides the evidence base for this assertion. This sounds like a serious concern that is not mentioned on any news sites, social media or anywhere else I have observed. I have several friends that are doctors and they are also unaware of this, so it would be beneficial for us all to have access to your information sources.

But I am sure you have heard of Remdesevir given in US that caused multiple organ failure haven’t you? Also the number of families suing the UK government as their elderly parents were pumped with midazolam then placed face down on ventilators. I am a clinical trial scientist and am very aware of the obese people who have suffered. I am also aware of the number of people who died from the vaccines. VAERS, TGA & yellow card system in UK. An open debate amongst opposing views would allay everyone’s fears but alas, we only see one narrative. Hmmmmm!

That risk profile will change when COVID does arrive and the risk of getting COVIDin the UK is very high.
